  1. I just watched every pass and run by JD and the way the media was hyping him i was expecting much more..He is not the elusive runner like people make him out to be..He has more long speed than he does burst..

His ball placement is no better than Mayes on a lot of his throws..His outside the number throws lack velocity

Teams give a lot more space to JD's receivers than they do Maye's which make throws easier for JD

  2. Maye is physically more talented than JD

Maye throws off platform better than JD

    Maye is younger than JD

What plagues Maye can be fixed with good coaching..therefore Maye has higher upside..If they draft JD and he bust due to his known slight frame and his propensity to run at first sight of pressure and gets hurt GMAP is gonna take some serious heat.

Yeah that's something that the whole "omg SEC defenses" thing misses. Even on good SEC defenses (or good defenses in general), there are probably only a couple of guys on that roster who will make it in the NFL. The NFL is a completely different beast.

In the NFL almost every defender is likely on par with the best player on a college defense. So even going against SEC defenses, you're facing lots of guys who will be bartenders or something a year from now.

IMO that's one of the reasons that having two elite studs like Nabers and Thomas on the same team is such a big deal. You can only stick your best DB on one of them. Which means at least one of those guys is going to smoke his defender.

Not only that, the amount of time NFL players spend watching film and practicing compare to College players is astronomical.

Daniels is Randall Cunningham, Maye is Ben Roethlisberger for arguments sake.....compare their career injuries. Ben got beaten up as any QB ever, possibly because of his size and immobility. Guys like Daniels are athletes and athletes adjust, especially with good coaching. Just saying that bigger doesn't necessarily mean healthier in the NFL.

Big difference between the two..When RC played, players were a lot lighter than they are now

Agree. And that's my biggest fear about Daniels.

But the level of competition these 2 faced was notably different; even Quinn publicly commented on the complexity of defenses Daniels faced in the SEC, so it's reasonable to say that experience better prepared Daniels for the NFL than the more simple defenses we've seen described for the ACC did for Maye.

Changes nothing about whether I want Daniels or Maye. I want Maye. But the level-of-competition and NFL-ish-experience arguments do favor Daniels.

Ain't no college defense on par with a NFL defense not even Alabama

He’s not Lamar and I wouldn’t want to draft Lamar, he’s a far better processor at the position and has more upside inside of the pocket.

I personally don’t see fields or mariotta in his game at all. Mariotta and Fields don’t process the field as quickly as JD, which is what makes him such an exciting prospect. You’re betting on 2023 Daniels and his continual improvement, those stats are over all years.

JD has also played 55 games in college which is a lot compared to Lamar Jackson's 38

Nope, Alabama defense was ranked ahead of FSU.

And Alabama by itself has "several" NFL-caliber players, just on its defense.

And if we're going to start talking about strength of schedule, "cupcakes" etc., LSU had the 17th ranked schedule; UNC was #71, fourth worst in the Power 5 conferences.

And yes, an NFL season is much much different than a college season - but that applies to every single prospect, at QB or otherwise, so it doesn't help us differentiate between Daniels and Maye.

JD can't even set his own protections without looking to the side line for coaches help

Dude think about what you’re saying here. Do you think the agent sat there knowing someone would be scanning that tweet looking for his emoji to come through? Did anyone know who his agent was before this? Did anyone care? No, cause it’s a non factor on where he’s drafted and that’s probably what his agent thought putting an emoji out there. He wants his client to be drafted number 2, he wanted more face time and that to be more of a certainty this past week. It’s more money and more notoriety which is good for the agency and business. Of course he didn’t like the group trip haha like why would he? It was dumb he subjected them to any of this for absolute crazy people that scan and look for this drama on social media. But it literally means nothing. It’s sad we’re even talking about it, and the fact you are is a way to cling onto Maye being the pick even if the signs say otherwise.

No his agent knows that group all 30 puts his client at a disadavantage compared to the other QB's that attended and he dosen't like it.

I’m sorry but are you kidding me with this? Take a step back from the ledge and evaluate what you are actually ascertaining.

I really can’t wait for the draft to be here to put all of this nonsense to rest.

Did the agent like a tweet that criticised  the way washington handled the all 30 visits? yes or no
