  1. Time for the throwbacks!

I hardly ever post stuff from BR, but this is pretty good:

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1391400-redskins-throwback-uniforms-breaking-down-washingtons-80th-anniversary-unis

Unveiled earlier this year, the Washington Redskins will finally wear their 80th anniversary throwback uniforms in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.

The uniforms are designed as a modernization of the team's 1937 uniforms, which was the year the Redskins moved from Boston to Washington, D.C.

They will also be worn in accordance with the franchise's "homecoming" celebration, where old players and coaches come back to FedEx Field to be honored.

Nonetheless, as we have seen in recent years, the unveiling of a throwback jersey oftentimes leads to widespread polarization of opinion. For every powder-blue San Diego Chargers look, there is, well, whatever the Pittsburgh Steelers wore last week.

How do these throwbacks grade out? Here is a look at a complete breakdown of the Redskins' 80th anniversary uniforms.

Follow the above link for the rest.

I love 'em. So do a lot of other people it seems.

PFT also has an article on this which calls them "one of the best throwback ensembles": http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/31/redskins-to-unveil-throwbacks-on-sunday/

  2. Actually when I went to use my NFL.com preseason pkg yesterday to watch JetsvsHou, the other games were still available to watch. Don't know the time limit on it though. Oh and yesterdays game was "blacked out" for me... must be some deal with ESPN. Oh well all of the Redskins p.s. were listed as Comcast except one that looked like it might be a simulcast with Comcast/ESPN. Still worth 20 bucks.

Games in local markets (based on your IP address) will be blacked out for 24 hours, then the on demand replay will become available.

  3. NFL.com's preseason pass was great.

I did not get to see the live coverage, but the on-demand replays are awesome. If you have the bandwidth, you can get HD, if not you can turn the quality down for a smoother connection. You also have the option of selecting between the home and away broadcasts.

I think it is well worth my $20.00 for the preseason games, and $50.00 for on-demand regular season games, since I am currently living out west and working weekends.

The only downside is that games in local markets are blacked out for 24 hours.

  4. I wonder if I can buy the NFL.com preseason package, just go to the stream on my PS3 on my TV, and enjoy? Has anyone tried this before? Is the nfl.com thing an actual application you need to use, or is it a link?

I do not know about the PS3, but as far as I can tell the NFL.com package uses flash.

  5. Just signed up for preseason live and and game rewind on nfl.com. This might be a good option for some of you folks.

It cost me $55.00 ($15.00 for preseason, $40.00 for regular season). For my money: I will get to watch all the preseason games, plus on demand replays of those, and on demand replays of all regular season games. Since I am working a lot of weekends and living out west, this seems like a great deal to me.

I will let you know how I like the service.

  6. Hey turd wrasslers, I was just asking for any new insights. You guys have sandy vaginas, and thats whats making you the smarmy douches that you've turned into.
