He'll move the team to Timbuktu for the international presence Goodell wants.

    ISO: World Series Tickets

Yeah, the prices will be through the roof with the brokers so I'd be interested as well should anyone else pop up with tickets they can't use. Otherwise, I'll just kick back at the "home command center" ...
  4. Assuming MASN gets more exposure than MASN2, that might explain the numbers. I read somewhere a while back that what determines which team gets MASN vs. MASN2 is the opponent ... all games against NYY and BOS go to MASN which puts the O's on the primary quite often. And there were many instances when we (the Nats) would be scheduled against major division rivals (NYM, ATL) so we got relegated to MASN2. (It felt like MLB scehduled most of the BAL-NYY and NYM-WAS series at the same time.) "Big Fox" has the Fall Classic which should help with ratings in this area should the Nats prevail in the NLCS.
  5. Yankee fans do travel well so, yeah, I can see a good mix here in DC. Weather Channel has, for the first two scheduled games up there (22nd and 23rd), showers (50%) and PM showers (30%). Travel shouldn't be much of a factor up and down the Acela corridor so it could come to pass that three DC teams are playing on the 24th (Caps in Edmonton). And, if I am reading the 506 sports forum correctly, "Big Fox" covers any World Series games that go to Thursday which puts TNF on FS1 and NFLN.
  6. Hard as they are, they can be broken: this is my second year of full absentia from the pathetic league that Goodell oversees, much less the horrible product locally. And I religiously watched early in Gibbs I before getting season tickets in 2004 so it CAN be done. The Patriots had strong teams these last two decades during the Red Sox' appearances in the Fall Classic ... 2004: Red Sox sweep Cardinals; Patriots win second straight Super Bowl 2007: Red Sox sweep Colorado; Patriots finish regular season undefeated and one win away from *the* perfect season 2013: Red Sox win series 4-2 against St. Louis; Patriots reach AFC Championship game in Denver 2017: Red Sox win series 4-1 against Los Angeles; Patriots reach third straight Super Bowl and second title in those three years. What will be interesting to see: a potential WAS-NYY Fall Classic where Mother Nature pushes the second game (in the Bronx) to Thursday the 24th. A likely 1-6 team on the road, whose President openly admonished fans in a recent presser, is a lot different than steadily consistent Pats teams.
  7. It just shows how jealous and incompetent he is. The Nationals took time to build a winning product, thus their eighth season in town before making the playoffs. In a league where one-third of the teams make the playoffs, this is the fifth playoff appearance including their first in 2012 for the Nationals. #SlowAndSteady It was over before the Caps regular season opening puck drop in St. Louis. My dentist is a longtime college friend who was a Dolphins fan when I first met him in 1984. He since converted to a Redskins fan after establishing his practice here in Tysons Corner in the early 1990s. I stopped watching the league altogether because of Goodell: what he has done to the league and his political pandering. After watching Brucie's presser, it's painfully clear they don't care about the fans; in fact, they admonish them. No more wasting money on Little Napolean and his drunk sidekick until they are on a one-way flight to Siberia.

    Boycott the slime ball

Fourteen years as a season ticket holder included two regular season games against that team from western Pennsylvania (2008, 2016); both were scheduled for Monday night; and both saw their fans take over our stadium. The first followed a playoff season with the team at 6-2, in the thick of a division chase a half game behind New York and everyone in the division above .500; the second was the season opener following a division winning season. I make the presumption that we can't blame the product on the field those two seasons. So why/how did their fans take over FedEx those two games? Back to the presser ... it takes a truckload of cajones to publicly blame the fans the way he did. My decision not to renew for 2018 was born out of necessity due to circumstances at the time the invoice was due. Helluva way to send a message but I'm glad to not be wasting money on an organization whose executives blame the fans before their own incompetence.

Current Ticket Prices for the Patriots game...

Stranding off-topic but I was downtown last night and, even in THE DISTRICT, enough people did that rude, AAF "OH" in the middle of the anthem. What, did we physically morph north for a few seconds?

My dad, who was never into football, would warn us about leaving a pair of tickets visible in your car: someone might bust the window and leave you four more.

That's one more game than I watched last season, and one more game than I plan to watch this season. ... and with the reduced restrictions, if not complete elimination of blackout rules, why bother leaving the comfort of your couch ... I did out of necessity and it was quite the eye-opener; so much so that each season will be another year off. Goodell and his kowtowing was my reason for the latter. The obvious correction has been noted. LOL ES has become a great source of information this season and it justifies my decision to refrain from the money drain. I miss everyone at the tailgate and perhaps we can all get together on a Spring day and do a tailgate for no other reason other than to come together and tailgate. Right now, it's time to focus on the NATS playoff run and the start of hockey season.

That's the demand. My old boss called me asking if I still had tickets and eas tailgating. He said the cheapest seat he could find was $200 ... (if it were the Jets, I could see $20 tickets)

I've had a root canal ... pretty sure that's better these days.
