  1. Perhaps but that seems awfully odd for a Monday game.
  2. The release shows Buffalo at New England for the Monday of Christmas weekend (28 December) ... https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2020 Football Information/05 07 20 - Regular-Season Schedule.pdf Meanwhile ... Thanksgiving?? In Dallas?? AGAIN ??!! Four times (12, 16, 18, 20) spanning nine seasons; five Thanksgiving games in that same stretch when counting that night game in 17.
  3. I presume the final week will remain intra-divisional ...
  4. This was shared in another forum; might be worth following and/or contributing (for those who have time to do the latter) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r3gyZ6JnLwclxlyvBQ-wvZ59Jevby5QIUUO-KtX9zvU/edit#gid=0
  5. Definitely not taking this bait ... Two words: Steve Spurrier. Move along, nothing to see here ... Wash, rinse, repeat. Wash, rinse, repeat. The fact that he blamed the fans (eight and a half minutes in that presser is when the question came that elicited the response) was over the top fo rme. it's the same movie, just different players; "shame on you" to anyone who falls for this bait yet again. The only answer is selling the team. Full stop.
  6. I think Schirff (sp?) with the first pick of the 2015 draft had me thinking Scot was going to right the ship; that along with his previous success out west.
  7. I've tried to remain optimistic about that over these last 21 seasons; the McCloughan debacle did it for me. He had us on the right track and was on the outside looking in within two seasons. (I contend the ownership did not support him as they should have.) BAZINGA !! I'm surprised more people don't see it ... (or perhaps just not wanting to openly admit that fact) @Skinsfan1311 We found your conspiracy theory, brother.
  8. Nope ... Allen is not the root cause; see Schottenheimer, circa 2001. ... which includes Snyder selling the team. Until that happens, I'm not taking the bait.
  9. I've seen this story play out enough times these last 21 seasons. We hire someone reputable, albeit a GM or head coach, but is stifled by The Danny's meddling after which that person is shown the door for a reason that is somehow justified. The root of all the angst with this franchise is the owner and, since he is our age, probably won't sell the time (literally) in our lifetime; until **HE** is forced to sell the team, I'm not taking this bait.
  10. How far into the presser do we get before Brucie blames the fans? It was eight and a half to nine minutes in this one ... https://www.redskins.com/video/president-bruce-allen-press-conference
  11. Did the league do away with the "one time zone travel" rule for Thursday night games? If not, then those games can only be Monday night. Maybe the Arizona game can be the one in Timbuktu that brings them into a new international series.
  12. My first reaction was that we do host Cincinnati next season but since the two teams already played out there in 2016, I doubt they'd send that game again. Other out of division rotational home games: Baltimore, Rams, and Seattle. Positional home opponent: NFC South.
  13. You eluded to that a year and a half ago when I initially could not renew due to potentially being RIFed but took a pass on getting my old seats a month after getting connected with a different contract. I'm sorry it has come to this for you and Mrs. SkinsFan ...
  14. The ticket, of course ... would need to consult with that Chestnut fella to eat $87 worth of hot dogs at the tailgate.
  15. I believe that would include not playing fantasy games. That's a back breaker for many I know ... That's the one thing I do miss but, after having to give up the tickets in Spring 2018 due to a looming layoff (RIF due to contract ending), I couldn't justify the expense. The subsequent antics by both the team and league turned me off to various offers to renew that summer (after securing a spot supporting a different contract). I see my old section is showing up for $15; guessing a loss of $100 against face value. No doubt a W
  16. Day One: significant housecleaning of a highly toxic front office. Reach out to well established GMs and other operations people for recommendations for a top notch GM and President; grant full authority on personnel decisions as I am nowhere near qualified to evaluate the needs of the team in order to win games while keeping 20 boxes of pens to sign checks. Re-establish HOME WHITE jerseys (and burgundy pants). Revamp the radio broadcast booth ... PxP: Frank Herzog (for his signature touchdown call) or Mike Patrick; Offensive Analysis: Cooley or Theismann;
  17. He'll move the team to Timbuktu for the international presence Goodell wants.
  18. Your 2018 Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals play tomorrow night as well.
  19. Yeah, the prices will be through the roof with the brokers so I'd be interested as well should anyone else pop up with tickets they can't use. Otherwise, I'll just kick back at the "home command center" ...
  20. Assuming MASN gets more exposure than MASN2, that might explain the numbers. I read somewhere a while back that what determines which team gets MASN vs. MASN2 is the opponent ... all games against NYY and BOS go to MASN which puts the O's on the primary quite often. And there were many instances when we (the Nats) would be scheduled against major division rivals (NYM, ATL) so we got relegated to MASN2. (It felt like MLB scehduled most of the BAL-NYY and NYM-WAS series at the same time.) "Big Fox" has the Fall Classic which should help with ratings in this area should
  21. Yankee fans do travel well so, yeah, I can see a good mix here in DC. Weather Channel has, for the first two scheduled games up there (22nd and 23rd), showers (50%) and PM showers (30%). Travel shouldn't be much of a factor up and down the Acela corridor so it could come to pass that three DC teams are playing on the 24th (Caps in Edmonton). And, if I am reading the 506 sports forum correctly, "Big Fox" covers any World Series games that go to Thursday which puts TNF on FS1 and NFLN.
  22. Hard as they are, they can be broken: this is my second year of full absentia from the pathetic league that Goodell oversees, much less the horrible product locally. And I religiously watched early in Gibbs I before getting season tickets in 2004 so it CAN be done. The Patriots had strong teams these last two decades during the Red Sox' appearances in the Fall Classic ... 2004: Red Sox sweep Cardinals; Patriots win second straight Super Bowl 2007: Red Sox sweep Colorado; Patriots finish regular season undefeated and one win away from *the* perfect sea
  23. It just shows how jealous and incompetent he is. The Nationals took time to build a winning product, thus their eighth season in town before making the playoffs. In a league where one-third of the teams make the playoffs, this is the fifth playoff appearance including their first in 2012 for the Nationals. #SlowAndSteady It was over before the Caps regular season opening puck drop in St. Louis. My dentist is a longtime college friend who was a Dolphins fan when I first met him in 1984. He since converted to a Redskins fan after establishing his p
  24. Fourteen years as a season ticket holder included two regular season games against that team from western Pennsylvania (2008, 2016); both were scheduled for Monday night; and both saw their fans take over our stadium. The first followed a playoff season with the team at 6-2, in the thick of a division chase a half game behind New York and everyone in the division above .500; the second was the season opener following a division winning season. I make the presumption that we can't blame the product on the field those two seasons. So why/how did their fans take over FedEx those two
  25. If Danny Boy truly wants to know the root cause of the problem, just some simple steps: Take a drive to WalMart Walk over to home furnishings Find a full length mirror Stand in front of the aforementioned mirror to identify the real problem. Time to #StayInTheFight ...
