I actually am an accountant temporarily acting like a day trader. Until this week I had never invested in anything but index funds. This is a whole lot more fun but the sooner it ends, the better... I was doing work past midnight last night because I mostly spent 9-5 refreshing tabs of stock prices.

I bought 195 shares of Gamestop at $88.25 and sold them at $109.31, in the process learning it's possible to feel sick about making $4,000. I bought 598 shares of Express at $3.32 and sold 300 of them at $11.25. I am in on Blackberry and Nokia and regret that I didn't invest in a chain of movie theaters during a pandemic.

If there are any other companies from the 2000s I can invest in please let me know. I feel like the meme of a dog staring at a PC monitor saying I have no idea what I'm doing. But I'm having a great time!!

Expected the story to cover more aspects of the insanity at Redskins Park but I guess I can't blame the Post. They can't control speculation on social media. Maybe there will be more, but if not the media people hinting this would bring down Snyder have some explaining to do. 

The organization is as sleazy and gross as we expected. It consists of exactly the kind of people who even now would do absolutely nothing about this harassment, assault, and work environment. 

The hype from the other rumors is annoying now because it's affected the context of what we're reading. Everything in the story is terrible but the other unaddressed rumors are now part of the story.

There's the Simpsons episode where Homer J. Simpson doesn't know his full middle name but finds out it's "Jay." Maybe you can pull off the reverse of that. On second thought that makes no sense but it's what your post made me think of, it's 2:40 in the morning, and this damn article needs to drop.

Ah, don't think I ever saw that. Nobody going to be spared here apparently. If even one of these rumors is true it's a huge scandal, and right now it seems like way more than that.

Seemed like an exaggeration at the time, now who knows. So much is going to be recontextualized here, depending on what actually happened. Who knew, how much, when? 

Poor Larry Michael. He's out there somewhere thinking about all those yellow checks he gave us next to Skintangibles and feeling defrauded. I refuse to believe he had anything to do with this. 

Give the writers credit, this season's drama is the best yet. Dan Snyder is currently some sort of rogue pirate evading justice at sea on his yacht, and that may not be the most interesting part of this.

Being a Redskins (Redwolves?) fan seems like a boomer thing anyway. For those of us 30 year old boomers, Dan Snyder being forced out would be our Super Bowl experience. Dear god let this happen and I'll celebrate like I did when the Nats/Caps won it all. 

Also don't think I have seen this mentioned but who knows if whatever happened with Dianna Russini and McCloughan is part of this. Between that and the cheerleader thing we've had smoke about these kind of issues. I think it's almost certainly unrelated to the story but anything seems possible right now. 

The new league for Path of Exile is out today (Diablo style game but free). And depending on how long the quarantine lasts, Persona 5 Royal and the Final Fantasy 7 remake. 

This embarrassing administration has finally run into a problem you can't lie your way out of. There's no CNN to blame here. The President is a giant toddler, the emperor has no clothes. 

Donald Trump is running the government like it's the mob and should really call himself Don Trump, but Hillary got paid for some speeches to Goldman Sachs so she's too corrupt for me. It's a golden age of reason in this country.

In 2006 Lebron's Cavs were 50-32 and it was the 2nd best record in the East. Kobe's Lakers were 45-37 and the 7th best record in the West. Kobe lost to the MVP Nash Suns in 7 and Lebron lost in the 2nd round in 7 to the Pistons. 

 

Game 6 - Suns hit a 3 with seconds left in regulation to force OT, otherwise a lineup of Kobe, Lamar Odom, Smush Parker, Kwame Brown, and Luke Walton would have beat the 2 seed.

Kobe scored 50 on 57.1% shooting including 62.5% from 3. With that team. Not exactly a bunch of open looks.

Yeah I don't know if I can make it through this. I am glad I heard Shaq speak but that was so unbelievably painful. I pretty much lost it right away.

If he obtains a nuclear warhead my thoughts on the matter would be as follows: well, I should probably oppose this, but the Second Amendment says the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed, so really my hands are tied here. 

Every NFC playoff team had a QB making $25 million or more. You can pay your QB and still have a good team around him. Though if you pay Jared Goff $33.5 million a year you may be screwed. 

Because of Brexit it's hard to make comparisons between UK/US but the divide between liberal/left is getting worse, and I'm increasingly worried that the two sides of the Democratic party want to destroy each other more than they want to beat Trump.

Seems like similar sentiments in the UK - working class areas voting Republican/Tory for cultural reasons, mainly anti-immigration. 

The internet response to S8 is an overreaction. On Reddit the complaints are basically as follows:

1. Why is the crippled kid the king? I wanted anime hero Jon Starkgaryen to be the king. He should be married to the hot queen at the end. Every problem should be solved by Jon Starkgaryen winning a 1v1 swordfight with his magic sword. 

2. Jon/Daenerys shippers whose only requirement for the show is a generic Disney ending for the couple. These people are the worst. 

3. Why is Sansa such a ****, why doesn't she trust Daenerys? All Daenerys did was bring an army and nukes to her doorstep. Not like there's any history of a Stark king dying because of a romantic relationship either. 

4. Don't you idiot writers know that Jaime Lannister is on a Redemption Arc? That means he is Bad at first, then it is time for his redemption, then he is Good. He never would have went back to Cersei, real people never make bad decisions like that. 

There are a lot of things that weren't great about S8 but I think people are mostly mad they didn't get a generic and predictable ending. The hate is way over the top.
