  1. Mike Rizzo Ernie Grunfeld Bruce Allen One of the above is not like the others. Rizzo is an actual a GM that is well respected around the league and has a long term plan. Grunfeld is an idiot who is considered a joke by most NBA professionals. Bruce Allen is a "GM" but doesn't make personnel decisions and instead is in charge of pep-rally preparations. Hmmmmm, I just can't figure out why the Wiz and Redskins are having such a hard time rebuilding . . . .
  2. Almost 9 1/2 years. 3,426 days on the job. The Grunfeld Masterpiece: http://www.basketball-reference.com/executives/grunfer01x.html
  3. Ted actually posted on the game. http://www.tedstake.com/2012/11/14/no-excuses-that-was-bad-basketball-last-night/
  4. +1 I am at an all time low point and the season has not even started yet. No one on this team excites me right now. Maybe when Wall comes back, but even then . . . . this roster so uninspiring. How soon things change. When Ted bought the team I couldn't have been more excited. I was on board for a rebuild. Even a long one. But, I don't see what our plan is at all. The minute he extended Ernie he lost me forever. I overrated his ownership greatly. He is a thin skinned idiot who made his fortune running AOL into the ground. /rant Alright, feeling better. I will still watch every game I can down here and hope that they prove me wrong.
  5. 25 wins. 3 worst record in the league. Only ahead of Bobcats and Orlando. Ted writes several columns attacking the media and upset fans. Tells us all to be more patient.
  6. Just read this on the DC Sports Bog. Brutal look at the team, but 100% right. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/dc-sports-bog/wp/2012/10/25/bill-simmons-rips-the-wizards/
  7. ObamaCare gaining a bit in popularity. A 12 point swing nationally - support up 6%, opposition down 6%. http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/07/obamacare-is-no-longer-so-unpopular/259720/#.T_8UeX0lNCU.facebookhttp://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2012/07/obamacare-is-no-longer-so-unpopular/259720/#.T_8UeX0lNCU.facebook
  8. Sure. I would love to break it down. It is never good to start your rambling argument with a straight up lie. But then again, who gives a **** about the truth anyhow. http://www.factcheck.org/2010/03/irs-expansion/ And another lie . . . . . http://www.forbes.com/sites/rickungar/2011/12/08/congress-exempted-from-obamacare/ The tax or fee doesn't start until 2014 (I think) - many of benefits take effect before that, some have already gone into effect, so i don't understand his 4 year number at all. The fee or tax will only effect a tiny portion of the country that can afford health care but choose not to get coverage . . . . until they end up in the hospital, declare bankruptcy and then use my money to bailing themselves out. Social Security and medicare are not bankrupt. Reforms are needed to avoid problems in the future but to say they are bankrupt is just another lazy lie. Overall, this paragraph sums up the current conservative movement perfectly. Rambling nonsense filled with lies and distortions. Thank you for posting it.
  9. So halfway through the first round i figured I would make a smart ass comment about us drafting an unheard of European project player with our 2nd pick. Not knowing any off the top of my head at all, I go to my trusted google and type in "2012 international nba draft" I click on this site - http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2012/05/09/early-entry-nba-draft-international-prospects/ I randomly scroll down until i get to the first name I don't recognize at all and seems perfectly Wizard - Tomas Satoransky. I then head to ES to type a post like "Can't wait to draft Tomas Satoranky!" and my wife tells me that to turn off the computer and that she has been waiting for me to go to dinner for an hour. I abandon the post, shut it down and head out. Sitting at the restaurant an hour later I look up and the Wizards are on the clock. Boom. Satoransky. I just started laughing uncontrollably in the restaurant. I know this is a completely weird and uninteresting story for you all reading this, but it was such a fantastically awful moment for me that i had to share with someone who understood . . . my wife did not get it.
  10. What part of the law makes it so people don't chose their own health insurance? Why would forcing more people into a market filled with private companies lower competition? Edit - never mind, i see what you are talking about. Gotcha I think.
  11. Interesting. Do you think they had Waiters over Beal on their board? If we take T-Rob, they take Beal, right?
  12. Sweet jesus. Well, I think that puts to rest any doubt that Cavs really wanted Beal. That was not a "smoke screen" clearly. DC is murdering the city of Cleveland this year in drafts.
  13. Agreed. When I saw it, most seemed like folks just messing around. I am sure there are some stupid people who really said it and didn't understand the irony, but in the large scheme of things it is not a big deal. I will say - Twitter is fun for days like this. The live reactions and awesome creative work (photoshop) and hilarious one liners kept me entertained all day. Then again, had the decision gone the other way I would say Twitter is evil and filled with trolls.
  14. Rush Limbaugh said if ACA passed and upheld he would move to Costa Rica. Big problem is Costa Rica has a Single Payer system . . . .. As for others, there was a blog (I can't find it right now) that listed tweets by people saying they would move to Canada.
  15. Annnnnnnd this might be the best thing you read all day. Rand Paul on the decision. Please see the underlined portion. http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-congress/2012/06/rand-paul-obamacare-is-still-unconstitutional-127574.html
  16. Twitter is amazing right now. People are awesome. Barack Obama looking at CNN on his iPad.
  17. Thank you George W. Bush, for appointing a Chief Justice that would uphold Mitt Romney's idea for a mandate!
  18. Do you not have health insurance because it is expensive and you can't afford it in your current budget or do you not have health insurance because you simply do nto want it at this stage of your life?
  19. My gut tells me that it is upheld but with the mandate and medicaid expansion removed.
