I hope this trade goes down but not because I''m desperate to get rid of Gil or anything like that.
I would like to see on a team that has a chance to go far in the playoffs...and obviously thats not the Wizards.

We are cursed.
Seriously.

Oh and sorry for stealing your name bro lol
No problem lol

We need to start NY at the 3. With Wall in the lineup, you need more outside shooting and thats not Thornton's game.
-
I personally hope Lebron runs Spoelstra out of Miami. I think he'd be perfect. Young guy, connect with the younger players, grow with them, real basketball nerd, likes smart basketball, great for our super athletic franchise player PG, works hard, and would spend the rest of his career trying to **** Lebron anyway he can.

How about Wall for Love, the rights to Rubio and a non-protected 1st?
Rubio doesn't really excite me but I'd trade Wall for Love and two 1sts.
A top-3 protected 1st and a non-protected 1st.
-
Sounds about right. A marginal all star caliber player and two 1sts. Maybe another lottery protected 1st or some 2nd rounders or something.
Actually, I just checked and I was wrong. We gave up THREE 1sts.
-
What did we give up for Webber?
Gugliotta and two number ones.
-
Hypothetically, How much do you think we could get for Wall?

Wall has been dealing with tendinitis since summer league, and Saunders added that the problem might not go away. "If every guy in our league sat out a week because of tendinitis, we might have to forfeit some games, because everybody has some kind of tendinitis, just the way they are," he said. "I don't think, with his situation, that he's ever going to be painfree from that, so what we're going to do is monitor him."Some situations, we have to make sure we get it right," Saunders said. "We get him healthy, get him where it's manageable where he can play and play at the high level he needs to play at. No question, when he's not physically right, he can't play at the same level. If can't play at the same intensity, same enthusiasm and aggressiveness, then he's not the player that John Wall is. "

This is from another message board but it deals with the disaster that is our medical staff.

Nick Young hoping for another big game against the LakersNick Young's pirouette layup against the Los Angeles Lakers last week made his hometown fans gasp in awe and dominated postgame highlight shows. The beautiful, acrobatic play could've easily been dismissed as luck or a testament to his athletic gifts, but in many ways, it also symbolized Young's turnaround in his fourth season with the Washington Wizards.
Before he made a 360-degree shot around Lamar Odom, Young had to determine that the best way to split Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol was to first use a Hilton Armstrong screen, then his speed. When he spotted Odom alone under the basket, he quickly decided that a spin move was the best way to avoid him. And, finally, Young needed deep concentration to softly bank the shot off the glass.
"I've been practicing that for a while," the usually playful Young said with a grin after scoring a season-high 30 points at Staples Center. He added that he "had that game that you practice by yourself, in the gym, with nobody around."
The Wizards (6-16) will likely need more of that spectacular version of Young as they host the two-time defending champion Lakers on Tuesday at Verizon Center. They could possibly be without their three top scorers, with Andray Blatche out because of swelling in his left knee, John Wall "very questionable" with soreness in his right knee and Gilbert Arenas probable after missing practice on Monday with what the team has referred to as "general soreness."
This is not an ideal situation for a team that is on a season-high four-game losing streak. "You think?" Coach Flip Saunders said, half-jokingly, about the injuries. "I guess that's been more the norm this season than it's been abnormal. You go with what you have. It gives guys opportunities to step up and show what they have, show what they can do."

The Yankees and Red Sox were #1 and #2 in salary last season. The Yankees spent $64 million more than the Red Sox. That's why all the Yankee hate.
I dislike both the Yankees and Red Sox but it doesn't bother me that they spend cash.
I wish the O's would spend a little more.

8:14 a.m.The Yankees have increased their offer to superstar free-agent pitcher Cliff Lee, to seven years. It isn't known yet if the dollar amount is changing. It makes sense for the Yankees to offer seven years, given that the other top two players on the market, Jayson Werth and Carl Crawford, both got seven-year contracts.

You know, reading Ted's blog posts after other blow out losses this season, it's not above the realm of possibility that Flip's demise could come very soon. What he's made clear over and over again is that he has no problem losing right now, AS LONG AS the team shows heart and improvement. **** like this is a complete lack of heart and it's the opposite of improvement. It's sickening. It's one thing to lose, it's one thing to lose big, it's one thing to not be a good team. It's a completely other thing to ****ing embarrass yourself. To embarrass yourself, to embarrass your franchise, to embarrass your owner, your fanbase, your city.
I read his blog after the Toronto game and he was pissed. Really pissed.
A few more losses like this and I think Flip will be on his way.

on a brighter note, Terrence Jones put up 27pts & 17rebs tonight
If Terrence continues to play like this, he might be the number one overall pick.

This is a post from another message board and I echo these sentiments.
Look at the rosters. Even without Wall, the Kings aren't THAT much better than us. They still suck as a team. No way they have 25+ point advantage of talent over us. Do the same for the Raptors too. Like I said..I undertand getting blown out by good teams like the Lakers, or maybe even the Suns. But you don't get blown out the water by the Raptors and Kings man. That's just not suppose to happen. I'm not looking at the fact that we are losing.. I'm looking at how we are losing. We allow players dance their way to the basket night in and night out. And we suck offensively. If we are trash on both ends of the floor...Who else am I suppose to blame other than the head coach? -
John Wall is out.

Yup, I'm not a fan of the Blatche/McGee front line. Two finesse bigs is a bad idea. I'd like to see a pairing of Blatche/Seraphin and Booker/McGee.+1
-
Buckhantz just said that Blatche is out. Thanks God. Hopefully Yi isn't starting.
Oh and I didn't realize that Cousins was already ****ing up and acting like a baby in Sacramento. I'm on a Kings board right now and they are ****ing about him.
Cousins has been acting up since the summer.
Getting into fights with the team trainer, mouthing off to the coaches etc.

Would you want the 8th seed or would you rather be in the lottery? Personally while i'd love to make the playoffs and tell all the pundits and NBA "experts" to go **** themselves, I really, really think for the long game, for a chance at a championship one day, it would be very important to get a top pick this year.
I don't really want us to make the playoffs....its just wouldn't surprise me if we did.
Personally, I think we could use one more relatively high lottery pick to add to the talent base.
-
We might not be there this year either. We're not too far behind Toronto for the 8th seed. This team has enough talent to put together some win streaks that propels them into the playoffs.
Especially with Seraphin and Booker getting more minutes, this team will start playing a lot more competitive.
It wouldn't surprise me at all if take the 8th seed.
-
Whatever pick we get in the upcoming lottery, we need to make it count.....because I don't expect to be there in 2012.
-
I've been reading comparisons of Terrence Jones to Lamar Odom and I can see them.
Personally, I think he has a little Jamal Mashburn in his game....with his ability to take you off the dribble, hit the outside shot as well as post up.
-
He's someone that once he settles down and lets the pressure not phase him, he'll show off just how good he really is. Harrison Barnes would be a great addition to the team because I still see the potential in him even though he's not been great
Personally, I'm more intrigued by Terrence Jones.
-
Gil needs to be traded for whatever we can get. I'd take on a bad contract and a lottery pick at this point. I love him and he's our second best player, but I just don't think he works with Wall. Blatche should be tradeable IMO. He scores lots of points so the stat lines almost always look good, plus he's young and has a very manageable contract. On a bad team like ours from last year, he's proven he can be the top scoring threat. I wonder if we can trade Gil and Blatche on draft day to make sure we get Harrison Barnes.
I'm not opposed to trading Gil and Andray but not for Harrison Barnes.
Personally, I think he'll be a really good NBA player but not a superstar.
Then again, I could be wrong.

He's definitely come down to earth since signing his new deal but with that being said, he'd still probably be our best big man. Well, at least one of our best big men.
