  1. Seats in my section, (236), were selling for $137.00, and only 1 pair was left. That makes me feel a little better. I'll just try not too look at it tomorrow, when they're down to $50.00!!
  2. Sigh......makes me feel better about splitting my tickets this season.
  3. You and me both, brother!I stated "relatively" cheap. Compared to the price, that I paid for our pre-season tickets, I'll stand by that statement.
  4. Damn...just when you've think that we can't sink any lower....the Skins appear to be selling preseason tickets on Groupon..relatively cheap too..https://www.groupon.com/deals/gl-washington-redskins#options
  5. Got mine. The holder is pretty slick, as are the pins. I like that the parking passes are in a booklet, instead of a sheet.
  6. I've been doing that for years...that way I don't stress over it. Good to know. I caught up with the thread and see that it'll be available, for Android users, in a few weeks.
  7. Ummm...errr...didn't you see the technologically illiterate" part of my post? Seriously though, it's states "Washington Redskins Official Team App" when I open it. I don't think it the app that you guys are discussing in this thread.
  8. I'm technologically illiterate. I recently dowloaded the Redskins mobile app to my Galaxy S5, from the Google Play store.
  9. Just got my email..gonna pick 'em up Tuesday
  10. They're great seats. I sit in 236. Great views, great fans, less crowded than the uppers.
  11. Our window just opened. We sit in 236. A pair opened up in 237, row 6. Not aisle, but the seats next to the aisle. I was scared to pull the trigger, as we love our current seats,(last row, middle), and hate to get up and down to accomodate those with weak bladders!
  12. Our window is open, but we're staying put in 236....last row, under cover, mid-row. We almost pulled the trigger on section 237, row 6. They look like great seats, against a wall, undercover, but they're too close to the aisle for us.
  13. I sit in 236, and got the same e-mail. I tried to look at them, just now, (5/17 7:05am), and the site wouldn't let me select my seats to look at what's available.
  14. You're probably selling yourself short, when it comes to your taste buds, and your ability of differentiating the levels of "hoppiness" apart between beers. With apologies, in advance, for sounding like a know-it-all beer douche, I can almost guarantee it. Get a Sierra Nevada Torpedo, a Heavy Seas Loose Cannon & a Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA, (all of which are easy to find in the DMV area), and pour a little of each into different glass, smell and taste them. The difference in taste will be very noticeable. There are many factors involved, i.e. the type of hops, how they add the hops in the brewing process, when they add the hops, etc. Also, many people confuse hoppiness with bitterness. More hops doesn't necessarily mean more bitter. Continually hopped beers, like the the Dogfish 60 minute, or beers where hops are added several times during the brewing process, like the Loose Cannon, are very hoppy, but not super bitter. Wow, I did come off sounding beer douchey. Sorry! I'm with you on the Dead Rise...I'd just assume rim a glass with Old Bay, and fill it with Natty Boh. Tastes better and it's a helluva lot cheaper.
  15. That's the exact reason that I took higher ABV beers out of the kegerator rotation. What's the use, if you can, only drink a couple? I currently have Victory Prima Pils, on tap. It's flavorful, and only 5.3% Another good one is Sierra Nevada Nooner. Low ABV, great taste, and you can drink more than a couple at one sitting. Now, instead of getting saddled with 15 gallons of a particular "heavy" beer, I now buy a greater variety of beers, while always having the Pils to fall back on, when I just want a beer. Have you tried Heavy Seas Crossbones? I think you'd be surprised to know that it's only 4.5%, but pretty hoppy and flavorful. On the other end of the spectrum, you should try the Double Cannon. It weighs in at a whopping 9.5% and it's friggin' delicious. It's a seasonal, so I may be stocking up before June. More than one brewmaster has told me that one of the true measures of a brewers skill, isn't in those heavy beers, with lots of ingredients, (which can mask deficiencies), but how well they brew the simpler beers. That's where the true skill lies.
  16. Inside the 40's would raise the cost of your seats too...
  17. Agreed. That's ****ed up. Very ****ed up. The ticket office is a joke.
  18. That's nuts. $400.00 savings right there. Is there a catch? Do you have to buy 4 tickets? Agree to buy them for a couple of seasons? Are they regular greens, or B3?
  19. Neon Gypsy is the one that you're thinking about. Hellrazer is a good IPA, as is the Venom. Naked Fish flat out sucks..it's like they added liquid smoke...
  20. I picked up a sixer of "Big Punisher" by Jailbreak. Jailbreak is a young, very small, local brewery. Big Punisher is their version of a double IPA. I would rate it as good, but not great, and certainly not worth the $13.99 price tag. It's not balanced, or bitter, enough for me. When I was at the Heavy Seas brewery, a couple of hours ago, I talked to a guy who went to the Jailbreak brewery, and he said that the tour was great, and the beers that they tried were very good. I'm intrigued enough to go check it out, and try some of their beers. I firmly believe that you should support your local craft brewers, and I really want to find a beer that they brew that I really like, so I'll give it a shot.
  21. I like Yuengling lager, but it's like any other beer, I have to be in the mood for it. Yuengling lager is strange, in that it's a lot better on tap. Beer should be better on tap, but Yuengling is much, much better on tap, than it is in bottles and cans. Their porter is very good, and I love the Lord Chesterfield ale. Years ago, I tried their Bock beer, and it was pretty good too. A buddy of mine took a brewery tour, and he told me that they offer beers there, that are only available on draft, and not distributed here in Maryland.
