  1. I'm not too good at this sort of thing but I'll take a stab at it, what do you guys think:

    Lombard/Cung Le

    Belcher/Boetsch

    Palhares/Munoz

    Sonnen/Belfort

    Bisping/Stann

    Anderson/Weidman

UFC typically likes to match up winners vs. winners and losers vs. losers. That said, How about:

    Lombard/Wandy

    Franklin/Clung Le

    Belcher/Weidman

    Boestch/Munoz

    Sonnen/Belfort

    Bisping/Stann -already booked

    Palhares/Okami -already booked

Give the winner of Belcher/Weidman Anderson. Bisping and Stann have both lost too recently to get a title shot so quick. Especially compared to the streak the winner of a Weidman/Blecher matchup would be on.

  2. I'll answer that a little later as I'm literally off to run some errands OB, but a quick answer would be to put the new company into the Scottish First Division and potentially have them spend just a year out of the top flight... .

They painted themselves into a corner when they erased Rangers from the books. A brand new club HAS to start at the bottom and win its way up. That's how it works. They should have found another way to sanction Rangers without disbanding them completely. Relegation, hard spending limit, no Europe.... Anything but what they did.

  3. The #1 beer on my WANTED list is the Rogue Doughnut, Maple, Bacon ale. You're telling me I can drink that combination of food? You can execute me afterwards, that'll be my last meal.

It's pretty good. You have to like smoked beers to like it. It's also fairly sweet. Don't plan on drinking the whole thing yourself.

  4. Silva by destruction

Forrest by decision - Hoping these guys put on a little bit of a show, but can see this one being pretty slow.

Le by decision - Not a Cote fan. Le will control the exchanges and the grappling. Don't see Cote putting Le in any danger at all

Mendes - Working with the 209 Bros has to be helping McKenzie. I will be rooti8ng for him. Mendes is a tier above him right now though.

  5. Forrest hasn't been awesome since 2008ish (pre Anderson Silva tooling him in front of the world).

In the octagon, sure. I still like the dude. He's one of the good guys. Funny and humble. I don't see him ever getting another tittle shot, but I do think he has some interesting fights in him. And don't worry about a win against Tito meaning main event status. That is far from the truth. Maybe on an FX card.

  6. I'm in S Florida where the craft beer selection is limited...so I've ordered online a few times.

Liquorama.net Got 8 22oz bottles shipped via FedEx for $27. Limited selection. They have Ale Smith. They also sell Mongo from Port Brewing which is fantastic.

Holidaywinecellar.com Got 8 bottles shipped via UPS for $33.65. A little pricey but that site has a bunch of stuff I can't get down here and they also have Pliny the Elder available right now. (limit 2)

beerjobber.com This site is pretty cool. Shipping is a flat $19.95. They get the cases straight from the brewer so you order has to be of all the same beer. Once we go through the inventory from holidaywinecellar we plan on getting a case of Hopsickle.

If anyone has had other good finds online...please post them. Happy 4th!

At least you have Cigar City now. I don't like their IPAs, but I love Zhukov and Big Sound. Never tried Hunuphu. Is that one as good as people say it is?

How's Funky Buddha? They have a lot of hype behind them.

  7. Wow, THANK YOU for this link! I went through the order process but it was going to cost 35 bucks to ship it. I think I will save this link for special occasions. I have tried to have Karl Strauss ship their beer out here before, and they wouldn't, so it is awesome to have all our favorite SD beers on this list. No Karl Strauss amber, though, but we like the Red Trolley ale. My basket also had Stone Levitation and Ballast Point Pale. They sell the IPA out here, but my bf likes the pale. I will definitely keep this site bookmarked.

No problem. Yeah, shipping is pricey I send my brother in Stone Ridge beer all the time. Sent 6 bottles and a growler today for $35. I just sent it regular UPS and cheat on the weight a couple pounds. Shops have to do it legit and pay extra for the 21+ signature upon delivery and can't cheat the weight so it gets even more expensive. I sent 6 bottles to a guy in Jersey and shipping was $30. Almost doubles the price of the bottles I sent. No one makes IPAs like Alpine though, so it is probably worth it. If I ever moved back East I know I would have to splurge every once in awhile.

  8. i never realized you live out in San Diego. My parents live there now and I will be visiting in August. What are some of the best breweries to hit up when we are out there and where are they located?

I just so happen to have a custom map I made for friends that visit

    http://goo.gl/maps/yKq2

If you like IPAs do your best to make a trip to Alpine. They are the best of the best when it comes to hops.

Breweries and beer bars are plentiful out here. I haven't updated that map in a few months and can probably add 5 more breweries to it. I'm trying to keep it more quality than quantity though. I'll try to update it again soon.

What part of town will you be in? Will you have a car?

If you have any specific questions let me know.

Also, if you are ever out here during the football season their is a kick ass Skins bar here too.

You definitely need to hit up Stone in Escondido. The brewery/restaurant out there is INSANE. I think their hotel is open now, too.

Karl Strauss has some good beers- their amber is my boyfriend's favorite. More of a restaurant than a brewery, but they brew there. We used to go to the one in Carlsbad all the time, but there's one further south.

Green Flash brewery is out there, too.

AND.... Alesmith brewery is near Miramar. My favorite beer (of all beers, not just Alesmith beer) is probably Alesmith's Nautical Nut Brown. I wish I could buy it out here.

They just started bottling it last month. They dropped the Nautical from the name. A friend of mine runs a bottle shop that ships if you ever feel like treating yourself.

  9. Ballast Point Sculpin IPA

    AMAZING!!!

    Who has tried this stuff?

Brewery is right down the street from me. Drink it all the time. We make the best IPAs out here in San Diego, and it isn't even close.

  10. Pretty awesome news. Apparently USA is close to finishing negotiations on having the 2016 Copa America hosted by the USA. For those counting every 4 yrs and wondering what the hell 2016 is the 100th anniversary and apparently Conmebol wanted to do something special. Mexico will also be in the tourney.

That would be amazing. I've been hoping for years they stepped up the Copa America to include the USA and Mexico teams. Of course the next step is for Mexico and USA to send the A-Squad.

Do you have a link to the story?

    ---------- Post added June-2nd-2012 at 11:04 AM ----------

PS....is the USA v Canada game on tv tonight? What channel? What time?

NBC Sports, but it's tomorrow night.

  11. Funny thing is they talked about it again and called Calais Campbell somebody else haha, can't remember who.

Every time someone mentions Campbell I think about how we passed on him in the draft. He was one of those guys that was falling and filled a need. His D-Line coach had just come to the Skins so everyone here said the coach must know something we don't and that Campbell won't be a very good pro.

  12. Last night was an end of an era for me. My first really loved fighters were BJ Penn and Josh Barnett. Both seem to be done as try contenders and no one has really replaced them. Just as well, I guess. Don't really need to have a horse in the race to watch this sport.

I'd give Gilbert the winner of Maynard-Guida. He didn't look great, but he still deserves top competition after the run he has been on.

  13. I am really rooting for Evans. Always liked him. But I think Bones walks right thru him early. This is going to be explosive (I hope). If Evans can nulify the first wave of attack and turn the fight into more of a slower paced fight/wrestling match, he can win this thing. All it takes is one Bones elbow to the skull to change everything though. I think Bones can even KO someone from the bottom with one of those nasty elbows.

  14. Evans can't win. I'm going out w/ friends but I'll be back by the main event. Link it up, Patrick! ;)

We haven't seen Patrick since his boy failed that test, have we?

Patrick, all will be forgiven if you make with the links. Been in awhile. 1st row still the best bet? I hate that site...

  15. Are you guys watching Ultimate Insider? I'm really liking it. Last time I caught they had Cruz and Faber watching their last fight together with Anik interviewing them at the same time. Great stuff. This week Rashad and Jones are interviewed by Anik and they get after each other big time.

  16. If Hendo snuck that right hand through, somehow caught JDS, I'd officially retire from being a sports fan out of complete satisfaction. Good luck, Redskins, happy trails Wizards. I'm good.

    :ols:

Anyone talk Patrick off the ledge yet?

Hendo would be kind of cool. I'm going ot on a limmb here and calling Josh Barnett takes the fight. He's already training for a May fight. No one cares about Cromier or the silly Strikeforce tourny. Give Josh his belt back!

  17. Tried Golden Monkey from Victory Brewing - solid beer for those who like Belgians....

-Nice, d0ublestr0ker0ll, Heavy Seas has a good line.

-LOL @ the Kurt Angle pose in that photo, Sebowski

I actually have a bunch of similar shots. I'll start posting some here if you guys like them.
