Today is definitely not a day to play soft. They should feast on defense.

If they let Taylor start getting out of the pocket and running on 3rd downs on us that’s going to be a problem.

Phil Simms just picked the Giants to “upset” us. As inconsistent as this team is I wouldn’t consider it an upset at this point if the Giants win. We don’t appear good enough to handle anybody at this point. The Commanders winning in convincing fashion today (as they should) would help to change my mind.

And while true…is it not an indictment of the current state of the NFL that a team with a defense as bad as this one has been is still 3-3. Still in play for everything. Kinda makes you wonder how important having a stout defense really is in todays game. Even the weakest teams in the league are able to score at will because they have created a game where it’s all about copious amounts of points scored. The “Red Zone” era. I’m trying not to be the old man shaking my fist at the sky but I do miss real legitimate NFL defense, big hits, and running games imposing their will. The “we are running off tackle and there is nothing you can do to stop us” era. Maybe because that’s when our team was dominant.

I thought it was clean also. Too violent for the NFL in 2023 I guess Yup, in the modern NFL you don’t sit on 14 point leads. The game can turn on a dime. You do it only when it’s a mathematical impossibility for the other team to come back.

Yup, aside from game 1 they have been averaging 400 ish a game. Terrible

Of course, how many of those sacks are interceptions if he forces a throw. I think I’d rather see him take the sack at this point than throw a wild pass that is picked off

Honestly, I didn’t either. The defense made some key picks when it mattered. Turn the ball over 3 times and you lose, and without the 3 turnovers we lose. The defense continues to be a massive disappointment.

Nope man, enjoy the win. A win is a win. We just get frustrated with how hard it always is when we do get one.

The big thing is if we can be 5-4 and then go on one of those patented mid-season streaks we are good at….might even make it…gasp….to a 10 win season.
