  1. My quick picks Baroni Whitehead Rogers Diaz Lawler
  2. I bet at least half the guys in the next TUF will drop down to LHW. I just found out today that Kimbo is on the show. I think it's a great career move to legitimize him. He's been training for about 2 years now, so he will have some skills and I'm sure he still has KO power. I hated the way EliteXC just took him off the street and threw him into headliners.
  3. BTW, Shogun did sign. http://mmamania.com/2009/05/29/ufc-104-mauricio-shogun-rua-signs-to-fight-lyoto-machida-in-october/
  4. If I were Jackson..I'd duck Machida right now too. Plus, he's probably getting paid well for TUF 10 and a headliner against Evans when it's over is big $$ as well. Rua probably has the best shot of anyone left in the division, sans Silva fighting Machida but both of them said they don't want to fight each other.
  5. I watched it and I have to agree with most of what you said. Even though I don't like him that much, I'm glad Lester won. I expected him to gas quickly as well because he fought so recently. Bisping is a gigantic douche on the show. I stopped rooting for him after the Hamill loss (I know he won, but we ALL know he should have lost) and his behavior after the fight. However, this show is showing his douchebaggery on a whole new level. And yeah, Pearce needs to leave the show, there is no reason for him to still be training with them. I love how he was ****ing about "getting benched" but he's lying to his teammates saying he wasn't allowed to fight when Dana knows he could have. Pretty sad waste of a gigantic opportunity. Sebowski, I have Undsiputed but I'm not terribly great at the game (fighting games have always been a weakness for me). But, if you want to add me, Opiatezeo38, I'll fight a couple with you.
  6. Well, I got a chance to see the fight yesterday. So ****ing glad I decided not to check out who won. Such a great ending. Machida is gonna be really really hard for anyone to stop now. Of anyone in that division, I think Shogun has the best chance. I thought Evans really had the best shot because of his speed but he made Evans look like a little schoolgirl. Overall good card. I enjoyed most of the fights. Mcfedries looks insane and could start moving up quickly if he keeps the knockouts coming.
  7. Very true NoCal. This is why so many people hate Machida. They don't like his technical counterpunch style cause it's not "exciting" enough. The first time I watched him he faked about 6 punches before actually throwing one and the first thing that came to me was "it's gotta be hard as hell to tell when he's actually going to throw a punch at you" I've said it before, the booing of fighters because they do not come in and throw wild punches is my biggest pet peeve about this sport. If people really want to watch mindless fighting instead of actual martial arts, then they should go back to watching WWE. As far as tonight show goes, I'll be rooting for Machida, but I think Evans is one of the few fighters fast enough to KO him, so I couldn't say who's gonna win.
  8. So far, I'm really enjoying this game. I started career mode right away. I got a nice TKO in the 2nd round on my first fight. I have like no cardio at all, so I gas really quickly...within 2 min my hands were down around my waist. It's gonna be sweet when I take the belt from GSP, but that's a while from now, lol.
  9. wonder if there is another vid outside of a gif of it. It got removed from Youtube already.
  10. It's got my vote...that was simply amazing.
  11. I agree with this. I love Maia as I'm a huge fan of the sub game, but I think Nate might be a little too much for it on his feet. However, Maia has a tendency to be able to get the fight to the ground somehow, and if that happens, Nate better watch out.
  12. ooh, this makes 101 even better. If Anderson can beat Forrest...how close would you put him to a possible LHW title shot...provided Machida isn't champ?
  13. I got a chance to play UFC Undisputed yesterday. I can say that I'm not a fighting game fan at all. I like fantasy RPG/Action type stuff...kinda like Fable. I was totally into this game. Of course, loving UFC might help a bit. But, the game is pretty fun. Graphics are amazing. I played it with my girl, and she basically goes crazy with the standup. I learned the ground game pretty well because she kept TKO'ing me if I tried to stand. She called her style bat**** crazy, lol. Once I started learning the sub game, I really started having fun. Although, you can counter stuff too. I've only been able to pull off an armbar and Kimora. My girl got me in a triangle on accident that I got out of, and a spinning from the ground into a kneebar, which looked sick, but she didn't understand the mechanics yet, so I can get out of her stuff pretty easily. I'm going to start really learning the Tai Clinch game next...I wanna big knockout with a knee. Anyways, any fan of UFC should own this. This game is much better than previous UFC incarnations. I hope they have a cage game, I haven't been able to get anyone against it yet.
  14. Don't think so. Can't wait to play this demo when it hits XBL. I've been reading these reviews and all of them are like "this game rocks once you learn it, especially the ground game". I can't wait to try out different fighters. Did they get their styles right? Like, does Chuck stand with that very open wide stance, or do they look similar when standing?
  15. I'll throw my picks out there. Sozynski Cane (as much as I like Cantwell, I think Cane takes this one) Kongo Liddell Silva
  16. Aww man, Hazelett is out. That blows. Was looking forward to another crazy sub. Oh well. Kos needs a break anyways.
  17. Good, because most of march has been really lacking for MMA.
  18. yeah, I just read that as well. Feel for his family, and MMA in general. He was a pioneer of the sport in his own way.
  19. Yeah, it's one of the coolest MMA moves in history, especially against an opponent like Silva. I had to add it to my sig when I found the gif on a sherdog thread.
  20. I'd also take Mike Brown in a rematch. I think his strength outclasses most of the people in his division, including Faber.
  21. Yeah, I think we saw the entire undercard because every fight ended early. Personally, I agree with the Kos fight ending. He was out when the hook landed, and would have just been pounded out had the fight not been stopped. Maia is one of my favorite fighters right now, his BJJ is so slick. Overall, one of the better cards so far.
  22. I'm looking forward to this card as well. Maia is one of my fav. fighters right now. I didn't even realize Kos was fighting again already. He fought twice in a month at the end of last year, didn't think he'd fight for a while. Unfortunately, I won't see it until Sunday since I'm entertaining non-MMA fans on Saturday.
  23. SU that is one sick sub in your sig. What's it called, I've never seen it done before?
  24. I actually watched that Shamrock fight. It was streamed on Sherdog for free. The guy he was fighting was huge, and not in the good way. Took one good punch to knock him down, and about 20 seconds to get the armbar on. I like Shamrock from the old UFC days, so it was nice to see him again. Kinda crazy that guys like him and Severn are still fighting now.
  25. This is pretty much exactly how I feel about that fight. If GSP did grease, it's something that needs to be dealt with. However, I don't believe it would have made any difference in this fight. I hope BJ just stays at LW from now on. I think he really can own that division for a while and I want to keep watching him fight.
