  1. Mayweather dont want the fight period. He makes excuse after excuse year after year. I think he wins but he dont wanna take that risk period.

This is why boxing sucks anymore and MMA has taken over combat sports. The best should fight the best period if they were in MMA they woulda fought 3 times by now its ridiculus.

  2. Aldo, Mendes, Lamas, Frankie are gonna work him. For a guy to get a title shot after beating two fringe top 10 fighters is a joke. It teaches the young fighters to be big mouth d-bags to get what you want. The guy is very talented but the stepup in talent is huge now. Smart of Dana to cash in now I guess.

  3. If AJ Smith is named GM its more of the same. Him and Bruce are best buddys and he has been advising him for the last 2 years.

The buddy buddy stuff has to go. If Dan is serious about this franchise he needs to bite the bullet and clean house completely. Hire the best GM out there and let them pick coaches.

  4. McLemore just turned 21 in February. He's about a year and a half older than Beal. He's really old for a freshman.

Zeller dominated Mitch McGary. He'll have more space to operate in the NBA and he won't get doubled every possession like he does at Indiana. I have no concerns about his offense beyond him developing a jumper. He'll never be an elite rebounder or defender though. But he can at least be good in these areas when he gets stronger. Like Nene. He's changed his body a lot since his freshman season already, I think he'll get to be fairly strong eventually.

Yeah I could see that happening too.

He just turned 20 Steve he is younger then Muhammed unless you have inside info he was born feb. 93

Not that it matters to the Wiz.

Zeller i'd draft but I have severe reservations on him. He struggles with size bigtime. To be honest i'd take Len over him because I think he has alot of athletic upside for his size and age. He will have true center size with great mobility when all is said and done.

But i'd go crazy if Porter fell to us.

  5. That's similar to how I have it ranked right now Samuels. Noel and McLemore are the tier one, then a whole bunch of guys about even for the second tier.

I'd probably go like this though:

    3.) Bennett

    4.) Zeller

    5.) Porter

    6.) Muhammad

    7.) Burke

    8.) Oladipo

    9.) Len

I like Bennett because he can already score inside and out and he could be a deadly pick and roll weapon. He can pop out and score and he could be a beast of a finisher. He can shoot threes. Plus he can face up and create his own offense off the dribble, so he'd be a big threat to a spaced out defense from the perimeter. He's very passionate and aggressive like a star player. I think he's going to be a 20 PPG scorer in the NBA.

I like Zeller a lot more than most people too. To me, he's an extremely rare player as a 20 year old legit seven footer with great skills and an elite feel for the game. I hope he's the one that drops to us.

Everyone likes Porter, not a whole that needs to be said about him.

I'm pretty torn on Shabazz. I don't like all of the off court stuff surrounding him at all, plus he looks heavier and less explosive than he used to. And his ball handling isn't as good as I though it was. His off hand isn't very good and he's not a great passer. Lying about his age all this time is a big red flag for me. But I love his motor and aggressiveness and I love how versatile he is as a scorer. He can post up and score in the lane and he is a great finisher. And he showed he was a much better jump shooter from range than people thought. I think there is a lot of James Harden in him.

I like Burke, but not a whole lot for the Wizards. He's a great ball handler and shooter off the bounce. He's poised and he could come in and replace AJ Price as the back up point and the perimeter shooter in lineups with Wall. But he'll never be a starter for us. And he's kind of slow and he's short and he had a tendency to get very streaky with his shot and force the issue against defensive pressure.

I like Len some, but not nearly as much as Zeller. He's a great athlete and has a gigantic frame and he can already shoot from mid range. But he doesn't have strong hands and he had a hard time holding position against much smaller players like James McAdoo. He's pretty passive. He had a lot of games where he did nothing. I don't totally trust him.

I also want to say I'm not in love with either Noel or McLemore. I'm glad we probably won't be in a position to have to draft them. Noel is a great athlete who will be a great defender. He's got good looking handles and the ability to get around big men plus he's a good passer that sees the floor well. But he just doesn't have good shooting touch IMO. His finishes are pretty wild when he can't dunk it and he's a lousy shooter.

McLemore scares me because he's already 21 and didn't do anything at all before this year. I learned my lesson with TRob last year, and I think there are a lot of the same things going on. Like TRob, he's got one really elite skill (spot up shooting for McLemore, rebounding for TRob). I think that skill paired with freakish athleticism is what has gotten them overrated as prospects. McLemore isn't a very good ball handler and he isn't as good a finisher as you would think given how high flying he is. Too often he doesn't take the ball all of the way to the rim and get himself to the FT line, and instead he just settles for these floaters. He doesn't break guys down or consistently get himself space. And I don't like how passive he gets, especially when he's not shooting well. I think he'll be good, he's got a perfect looking shot and he's a freak athlete, but I don't think he's going to be a franchise player and I think he is going to disappoint the team that takes him second. I get an OJ Mayo vibe from him.

McLemore just turned 20 he is a freshman. TRob was a junior he had all the bust signs early on limited min.

Zeller scares me as well he struggled both years againest legit size like he will face in the Nba.

And to the other poster I love CJ McCollum but not at 8.

  6. I'm seeing scores all over the place on twitter

who ever loses, people will be upset

    ---------- Post added April-20th-2013 at 10:21 PM ----------

I scored it 4-1 for Gil

The only real clear round was the first. I could make an argument for any score besides 50-45 Henderson.

I had it 4-1 as well with Benson getting 4th.

  7. Robinson said he's going back to school. Who do you have as the top 9?

    ---------- Post added April-19th-2013 at 10:45 PM ----------

Not my top 10 in order but i'd be ok with any of the 9.

    Tier 1

    Noel

    McLemore

After those 2 I think you could see any of the other 7 going 3rd.

    Porter

Len- I think will go top 5 after workouts to much upside with his size and mobility being 19

    Zeller

    Burke

    Bennett

    Oladipo

    Muhammed

I guess BPA in my opinion

    Noel

    McLemore

    Porter

    Burke

    Bennett

    Muhammed

    Zeller

    Len

    Oladipo

    For the Wizards

    Noel

    Porter

    Bennett

    Muhammed

    Zeller

    Len

Plus you will have a high riser might be Gobert and somebody else will drop. We will get a good prospect.

  8. We lost the coin flip with the Pistons. We're slotted 8th in the lottery. We've got the same odds for the lottery that the Pistons do. Our slotting just means we'll pick 8th if we don't win the lottery and no one behind us wins it. Kind of sucks.

I think its a 9 player draft in my opinion after that its a drop off. I even like Robinson III as a 10th player but the top 9 have alot of upside/potential.

  9. Rudy Gobert or Dario Sakic

my ultimate fear is we're about to see Foye/Miller pt.2

I fear a awful trade as well especially listening to Wall and Beal. The company line seems to be a stretch 4 and a scorer off the bench preferably a Vet. No chance I trade this pick unless its involved in a blockbuster for a legit player.

    Noel

    McLemore

    Porter

    Bennett

    Muhammed

    Zeller

    Len

    Oladipo

    Burke

I will take any of them over a BS trade.

  10. Yeah it made me giddy how good his second half was. Speed is LA's Achilles heel. They couldn't guard Wall, he just diced them. I think the best they can do is put Kobe on him but then you've got mismatches on Ariza and Webster when you put Nash and Blake on them. They're so long for SGs. Temple too.

Wall is getting to the point where he can harness his ridiculous physical attributes to be a huge mismatch.

I love that we beat a vet laden LA team with as much big game experience as anyone, and we did it in winning time. We made the plays we had to and LA didn't. That's a sign of some maturity from the team.

    ---------- Post added March-23rd-2013 at 01:29 AM ----------

Did you read the LAtimes article that broke that story? It's fascinating stuff. And pretty damning IMO. His father sounds like a total scumbag conman. That kind of family background for Shabazz is a HUGE red flag to me. Are you getting his father with Shabazz when you draft him? Who knows what the man's current name even is?

At the very least, Shabazz has been lying about his age for who knows how long. He knew what was up, he's not a moron. Doesn't that seem like something that could get you kicked out of school? At worst, he's cut from the same cloth as his father--someone who only cares about his brand and making money and not being an actual human being. I think his father might have made him an egomaniac. Frankly I don't want a kid like that in our locker room. He's not good enough to deal with that kind of BS. I'd much, much rather have a smart, sincere player who is a little less talented in Porter or Zeller.

This has actually been known for awhile. Alot of people in the know already knew this including Shabazz's friends its been considered rumor since his high school years.

If we pick in the 8-11 range I'd gladly take him there its the perfect spot to steal a high upside player. He is the type of ISO scorer we lack but his overall game needs developed he can play alittle 2/3 off the bench with no pressure. I'd love Noel or Porter to fall and he might but I really hope he returns to GU the team would be stacked with the freshman coming in and Whittingtons return.

  11. Wall is'nt a max player and honestly Beal might end up the better player. If they max him out, there foolish nobody else will offer it. He is'nt even a all star but were gonna max him out?

If he actually played hard on defense and took care of the ball better I could see it but he don't. I would offer him 11mill/per or just sign™ him not worth hamstringing this franchise he is'nt a alpha dog that is gonna carry this team like a max player should.

  12. Don't care what Porter's vertical is...dude can flat out hoop. We NEED him on this squad. This guy is not raw or a project. He's NBA ready right now. I know the 2014 rankings have *Noel and Muhammad going 1/2 (possibly), and this may be an extremely bold statement...but for this Wizards squad, I'm taking Porter with our pick REGARDLESS of where we draft and he should be #1 on our draft board.

Those 2 are the only players in this draft I take before Porter. He is a fantastic fit for this current team.

  13. If we keep winning we're definitely going to be out of Nerlens, Zeller, and Len range. Late lottery I like Otto Porter, McAdoo, and/or Poythress if they're there. McAdoo and Porter looks like really nice fits.

I'd be fine with Porter. He is a better version of Jeff Green especially defensively and on the boards but i'm not sure he leaves this early don't seem like that type of kid.

  14. My only issue is, that Nene would make an excellent mentor for him. Any potential trade will also have to ensure that the Sonics...err..Kings...or w/e will be able to tank next season to the point they are assured Wiggins or Parker. If they wanted Okafor..I'd offer him up, but I'm willing to wait until the trade deadline with him and seeing which "potential contender" has a moment of desperation. Dream scenario would be Okafor+'13 1st top 3 protected+Seraphin for Cousins+filler. Then follow up with Nene+Ariza+'14 top 3 protected 1st for Love+filler

    Wall/Price

    Beal/Someone competent/Tomas

    Webster/FA/2nd round pick

    Love/Booker

    Cousins/Jan/FA

    One can dream...

No defense thats a 2nd rd playoff team at best with very good coaching.
