NikoBellic
From the Total at the bottom, Thompson and Royster severely under-performed based on their low averages of 1.9 and 2.1 yards per carry respectively, although both of them were good receivers with 8.8 and 12 yards per reception. Seastrunk and Redd were both very good rushers with 4.8 and 4.6 yards per carry and good receivers with 88 and 8.7 yards per reception. Helu and Morris slightly unperformed with 3.5 and 3.9 yards per carry, but this might be because they had less to prove and their jobs were not on the line. Helu was also good at catching with 8.2 yards per reception. Morris never caught a pass (not sure how many were thrown at him). Is this his Achilles heel? They definitely did the right thing to cut Thompson and Royster. Wish they kept Seastrunk; he is EXPLOSIVE. Only 5'10" but had the best broad jump at the 2014 combine. That's really, really crazy IMO. His size is his detriment as a blocker, however. But Silas Redd has the same problem. Why did they go with Redd over Seastrunk who has the potential to go the distance on every play?
Forehead
One further point, with Seastrunk, Royster, or Thompson, there's no worry about getting to the game only to find our your running back decided to switch and play for the other team that day. Voice_of_Reason
These stats are kindof meaningless given it's preseason and they were all playing with and against guys of different abilities, some of whom might not even be in the league...
