alaadin123
I can't help but think that we really did ourselves a favor in allowing Smoot to go, he plays decent football but his personal behavior has been somewhat questionable since he left the Skins. RDSKNfaithfull
Are you joking? What problems did Smoot have while being a skin? He would look real good right now in this defense.

Perhaps you didn't read my post correctly, I said he has had problems SINCE he left the Skins with his off the field behavior.
RunClintonRun26
My thoughts on Fred are this - He was a serviceable player while here . . . Never as good as he thought he was, but never as bad as some people may claim. He was a fan favorite, and played with a lot of heart. It couldn't have been that big of a deal if he only missed one series . . .
earl
ah Fred Smoot, A great second round value pick up. he plays alot better then some 1st round cb's. those were the days. when we were players in the first day of the draft.
TheGix2
I would take good ole Fast Fred E Smoot over any of our back ups... I cannot stand those stupid 5 yard defensive holding penalties that Kenny Wright seems to have called on him every time there is a 3rd and

Raub
I would love to have Smoot back in a Skins uniform, even if he whiffed on a blitz a game. The guy can cover and isn't afraid to stick his nose in there and make a hit.
fdarugar
Fred should have been a Pro Bowler in Williams 1st year here. The guy played lights out and showed a ton of heart, a few more years under this system and he would have blossomed into one of the leagues best. There was even an article about him and his love for our organizations last season.
RumpofSteelSKIN
It's laughable that what Childress did is considered "discipline". Benching the guy for ONE series? Puh-leeze. That was a 9-play "Discipline". True discipline would have been to sit the guy for the game. Oh, what's that? They were playing a tough division foe? Oh, that explains the lax "punishment" dressed up as "discipline".
