e16bball Posted April 21, 2005 Share Posted April 21, 2005 This is just hearsay, but apparently Pat Kirwan of the NFL Network reported that there are serious talks for the Redskins to move the 25th pick for DE Darren Howard of the New Orleans Saints. I think I wouldn't mind this, Howard would give us the pass-rusher we have been lacking for so many years. Not my first choice, but I could definitely live with it. Other thoughts? Howard, or even Abraham might be a possibility seing that the Jets traded away their 1st round pick right after we acquired another? Just a thought... It would be a great trade for us in the sense of getting a STUD to fill a need area, but his contract demands might be too steep for us. In other words, he's definitely worth the #25 pick (on a line with Griffin and in front of Washington -- ouch!), but I don't know that we can afford him. That's the primary problem w/trading the #25 for any veteran: he'll want more money & be a front-line talent, so he'll be a cap-buster. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
