Vermil was on his way out of St Louis too with this mentality of coaching, ( which quite frankly I belive works) but in the age of free agency and pre madonnas this league is full of now it doesnt work.Vermil was only saved by Martz offense and when they started scoring points it turned around but not because of Vermils style of coaching.Marty is of this same school of thought and guess what?
