Skins24
That's the second deadly tornado to come within 50 miles of where I live in less than a year. After about 40 years of silence. Back in September that tornado that went through College Park came within less than 5 miles of my house. My neighborhood only lost a few trees, but that wind was powerful! And it was so quick. After about 10 or so minutes of extremely powerful wind, the rain stopped and it was like nothing happened. Good thing I wasn't on the UM campus at the time. My Brother was though, he saw the tornado and got out of there quick.
RiggoRanger
Actually, they now say it was an F-5 tornado, with winds exceeding 261 mph. The path of the tornado came within 10-15 miles of me!
Uptown Skins
My heart and prayers go out to the residents of La Plata. I wonder if a Tornado ever hit DC city limits?
