Califan007 The Constipated
Does Gibbs = Marty?...Does Ramsey = Drew Brees?? Portis = Tomlinson?? I ask because, living in southern California, I heard years of fans moaning and complaining about how horrid the Chargers were playing...that "Martyball" was useless and that Brees just might turn out to be a bust and that's why Marty was starting Doug Floutie for so long... But after suffering thru two seasons of horrific play and having Brees more or less ride the pine as much as possible, the Chargers are winning again, and winning solidly with a seasoned, proven winning coach and a young and fully trained QB who, today, went 22/25 for 281 yards and 5 touchdowns...and with no interceptions. They beat the Raiders 42-14...and seem like legitimate threats each week. So...in two seasons, will the Redskins be like the Chargers, fully entrenched within a proven coach's philosophy in Gibbs, a young and upcoming QB in Ramsey, fully developed the "old fashion" way and capable of running the system the way it needs to be run...and having a young, 1,500 yard-per-season running back at his disposal in Portis?? Is this type of season what we HAVE to suffer thru to get to that point??...
