freakofthesouth Posted October 25, 2004 Share Posted October 25, 2004 I took it upon myself to factually support the notion that Green Bay's success is directly related to the production of Ahman Green. Here's what I found: Green's Rushing Stats: -Week 1...163 yards...W -Week 2...128 yards...L* -Week 3...67 yards...L -Week 4...58 yards...L -Week 5...33 yards...L -Week 6...81 yards...W** -Week 7...163 yards...W * This game was against Chicago, a rivalry game; not to mention, Green fumbled, and Farve was picked off twice. **Though Green didn't break the 100 yd mark here, Davenport spelled him, and rushed for 62 yards in this victory. Conclusion: stopping the run game is crucial for stopping Green Bay. If Green can't get going, this team can't seem to get wins. Side note: we have to be careful w/ Davenport, both from the backfield and on kickoff returns. He is a bigger back, and he can really break tackles. He will be a key player.
