Chief skin Posted October 1, 2004 Share Posted October 1, 2004 Does anyone remember what the first football season / year was when the BYE week was first installed into the NFL schedules, I seem to think, remember it was during a year of expansion, Carolina Jacksonville came into league? Since the bye week was introduced by the NFL in 1990, Buffalo has a record of 9-3 in the games following the weekend off. Brave Posted October 1, 2004 Share Posted October 1, 2004 I did a quick check on the schedules. Looks like 1994 was the first season with a bye week. I found a full 1995 schedule and there were byes.
