The engagement comes about six months after the pop vixen was granted an annulment to dissolve her marriage in Las Vegas, Nevada, to a childhood friend. Spears, 22, recently announced the cancellation of her Onyx Hotel tour because of a knee injury she suffered while shooting a music video in New York. She underwent knee surgery at a hospital in New York to repair the damage. No additional details on the engagement or a date for a wedding were available from Spears' publicist, Leslie Sloane. In January, she married Jason Allan Alexander, a friend from her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, but had her wedding annulled two days later.
