Ignatius J.
Before the Kansas City Debacle, Marty was mentioning that a poor performance from terell would likely result int the signing of a veteran free safety. We saw a weak safety during this game and the only moves that we are hearing about are at QB? Why isn't marty signing Lyle after terell's breakout performance? Maybe we don't give up on the guy yet, but there is no doubt that he struggled. It just seems odd that marty is saying nothing at all about this. -DB
TennesseeCarl
Maybe he felt that the lack of meaningful participation by the defensive line put the safeties in an untenable position. If Green and Collins had 6 seconds to pass, there are going to be open guys. Trent Green was gushing after the game about how there wasn't a grass stain on his uniform. GURU
Well, Marty HAS been talking about it. He said Terrell started out shakey and improved as the game wore on. That's what you look for. If Terrell keeps making the same mistakes, then you start looking for a vet safety. Until he plays his second game at the position, you can't really tell anything. This is what the preseason is for, peoples.
NavyDave
Terrell and Symonette have two games to show they can handle the spot. Hopefully we won't have a need to bring in a safety and grab DT instead. ------------------ Take a sip of the Marty Kool Aid and Believe
