Can anybody tell me where this kid ended up going? I picked him in like the 2nd or 3rd round w/ New England in the Mock Draft. I can't believe he wasn't drafted and haven't been able to find where he went. I saw Auburn play 3 times this year and it seemed like he has a huge impact in every game keeping blockers off their talented LB's.

Demarco Mcneil, DT, Auburn

Height: 6:01.0 Weight: 301

Overview: Three-year starter with the ability to dominate the action, showing flashes of brilliance as a run stuffer...Alabama's "Mr. Football" coming out of high school, he also excels in the class room (one of three graduate players on the team)...Started 46 of 49 games, as he recorded 195 tackles (106 solos) with 13 sacks for minus 89 yards, 35 stops for losses of 157 yards, 26 quarterback pressures, five fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, three interceptions and 13 pass deflections.

Analysis: Positives...Has the frame to add at least ten more pounds without a drop-off in speed... Flashes good initial quickness off the snap, displaying the leg drive to defeat blocks and get penetration into the backfield...Plays with good awareness, quickly locating the ball while moving through traffic...Disruptive force in the middle, displaying the power and vicious hand swipes to naturally gain leverage and hold ground firmly at the point of attack...Has outstanding upper body strength, doing a fine job of getting his hands underneath the blocker to shed with consistency...Despite his size, he has surprising change of direction agility and the speed to make plays working down the line and also when operating outside the box...Strong tackler who brings his arms and feet well to wrap and secure the ball carrier...Keeps his hands very active to throw blockers aside...Shows great effort and passion for the game.

Negatives...Shows quickness in his pursuit, but needs to do a better job of redirecting to flush the quarterback out...Lacks good rip-&-swim techniques on the pass rush (does a much better job of using his hands in run containment)...Despite his athletic skills, he will disappear for long stretches on the field (low tackle figures)...Needs to play in a program with structure, as he needs to be pushed (relies too much on his natural athletic ability and must do a better job of maintaining consistent intensity)...Has the raw power needed to collapse the pocket, but will spend more time trying to out-muscle the blocker rather than escaping from his opponent to make the big play in the backfield...Wide-bodied type, but lacks muscle definition and must dedicate himself to a better nutrition program (lacks mass and tone very soft-looking body).

Agility tests: 4.99 in the 40-yard dash...420-pound bench press...430-pound safety squat...295-pound hang clean...32-inch vertical jump...31 5/8 arm length...9 5/8-inch hands...Right-handed... 27/37 Wonderlic score.

High school: Attended Mount Blount (Prichard, Ala.) High, playing football for coach Ben Harris and Cornelius Brown...Was Alabama's "Mr. Football" as a senior (first lineman to ever earn that honor)...Rated as the premier prospect in the state by the Birmingham News Class of "Super Seniors" and selected Super Prep All-American...Recorded 329 tackles and 30 sacks over his last two years while leading his prep team to back-to-back state titles...Had 129 tackles, 16 sacks, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions as a senior...Also blocked four punts as a senior and 14 in prep career...Named MVP of the state champion-ship game as a junior, adding Alabama Class 5-A Lineman of the Year honors...Selected to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game...Rated by The Sporting News as one of top ten defensive linemen in the country...Named top the Birmingham Post-Herald "10 Most Wanted," Huntsville Times "Elite 11" and Orlando Sentinel (Bill Buckhalter) All-Southern Team lists...Double-figure scorer in basketball and pitched for the school's baseball team.

Personal: Criminology major, who hopes to become an FBI agent once his playing days are over... Also an aspiring actor/comedian...Son of Willie Ann McNeil...Born DeMarco Anderson McNeil...Born 12/15/79...Resides in Eight Mile, Alabama.

I don't know why I find that funny....

From the description, he looks like a quality person. He scored 27/31 on the wonderlic (not bad for a DT) and also wants to be an FBI agent. Add that to his football skills and we might have a pretty solid DT in a few years.
