kameuh
So I was getting those annoying System Message Spams, deactivated the port and messenger. Now my computer is getting hammered with port scans from various I.P.'s. Any computer experts out there know if this is typical action from these extortionists? I've got sysgate up and have gotten 9 scans in less than an hour. Not being an expert myself, Its a bit stressing! No wait its very stressing. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. :gus:  :twitch:
Funkyalligator
There are automated scanners that will scan across the network constantly and then when they find one they record your IP address for a hacker to look at later......my computer gets scanned hundreds of times a day.....they say that within 10 minutes of being on the internet a new windows server gets attacked\

Funkyalligator
Just go to the SANS website and there are links to places that can double check that you have all the right ports covered...
