Brave
Well, not exactly, but we have now scored 23 points in less than 2 quarters. Previously there have only been three games where we scored more than 17 points total!! Of course, the Saints ARE heping us a bit here.
Guest fuji869
The way this offense has been playing most of the season this is an offensive explosion.
Brave
Make that 30 points. Not too hard to see which team has lost the edge. I know there will be no postseason for us, but I am of the belief that these kinds of games are important. Players will remember how well (or how bad) they were playing at the end of the previous year. It can linger like a bad hangover. Should the Skins finish at 8-8 that would mean they were 8-3 in their last 11 games. That's enough to make them VERY hungry to play next season and could have a lot to do with players coming into camp with a winning attitude and ready to get to work. God knows we didn't have that this year and look how long it took us to get going.
Guest fuji869
IF and that is a strong "IF" the Redskins finish 8-8 that would be just like Joe Gibbs first year 0-5 start and winning 8 of the last 11. BUT we still have to hold on here and beat the Cards @ home and winning @ home seems to be kind of a tuff chore lately.
OrangeSkin
Theismann said he thinks we'll be one of the most dangerous teams in the league come next year. He's probably slightly biased, but it's nice to hear that.
Montilar
The "Offensive explosion" was misleading. When your starting 5 or 6 drives from your 49 or better yet, their side of the field, you had BETTER score something. The D set up all or most of the scores. Still the O had to take advantage of the breaks which is more than they had been doing. There were 4 field goals. So the red zone O still wasn't efficient. 50% TDs, 50% field goals. But that's still better than usual.
NavyDave
We can't do any worse offensively so we should see some improvements after we address our offensive woes. ------------------ Take A Sip of the Marty KoolAid and Believe.
