Tay
If we are going to release Westbrook and B. Smith we should just trade them for a good young Defensive Takle. Lang could then move to end and in next years draft we could get Julius Peppers. We could also get an end and draft a tackle next year. What do you think? RF4L
I think it's a great idea, Tay. But who on earth is going to trade a good young DT for one has-been and one never-been? Maybe we should throw in our pro-bowl TE as well. That might attract some interest. Oh, what the heck, maybe even offer up our "playmaker" at LB, too. Sooner or later we'll have to have ponied up enough to get one guy in a trade. [ by RedskinFan4Life on October 01, 2001.]
Ignatius J.
No, never. Bruce Smith is not worth a draft pick or a tackle, neither is westy. These guys are toast and everyone knows it. Cut 'em and don't look back. -DB
SPare
I like the idea of a trade or two, but probably not until the off season. One that I like: Sign KJ Carter in mid season to a multi year deal. Trade him to New England, in return for either Brady (who apparently can play a little based on his performance yesterday) or for one of their linebackers or defensive ends(they've actually got a couple of decent ones). ------------------
