Guest fuji869 Posted December 28, 2001 Share Posted December 28, 2001 I was watching BWI Spotlight on Comcast Sports out of Washington D.C. on my Satellite System on Christmas and saw a very good article on Chris Samuels. Chris took 15 underprivileged families in the D.C. Area on a Shopping Spree before Christmas. When (if) Darrell Retires after the 2002 season Chris will fill in just nicely for Darrell in the community. Most of us have seen the United Way Commercial he did when he was reading to the little girls and got a good laugh out of it. I have heard that he does a lot already in the D.C. Metro Area. I once rode through West Virginia alone and saw the most stark contrast to what many believe about Caucasions in America. Though I had also encountered this in Mississipi, it was devastating in WV. Many have often relegated the "needy" to meaning a certain group, but that was so shattering, I rode by with tears in my eyes. Cudos and props to anyone who carries the torch of aide.
