Fan since a Fetus
I was wondering who would be interested in an ES Keeper/Contract FF League. I’ve ran this league with some buddies the last several years, but recently moved and the league disbanded. This league takes people who stay current with their teams. I want a $50 buy in and a 70%-30% Super Bowl payout. We could use League Safe or something else that people feel comfortable with. The league is run on MyFantasyLeague. Part of the $50 buy in will go to MFL for using their software. I think it’s about $7 per team. I’m going to give a general idea of the league without going into every detail. 12 teams – 4 divisions Players are very competitive in this game. For example, you don’t necessarily need the stud QB. There are a lot of ways to win. The players overall score is similar to each other. So, that stud DE may score just as well as the stud QB. The scores are high from last year, I am looking to lower those to more NFL type weekly scores. 14 Offensive players – This is a flex position. 7 starters. You have to start a QB and a K. The WR, TE, RB positions can be flexed. So, you can run 4 WR and 1 RB or 3 TE, 1 WR, and 1 RB. There are about 10 different offensive sets that can be used. You can change the lineup weekly. 18 Defensive players – 11 starters. These positions include 3 or 4 DL, 3 or 4 LB, 2 CB, 2 S. You can run a 3-4 or 4-3 system with 2 CB and 2 S each week. Contracts - You get X amount of years to use any way you want to. Offensive – you get 33 years for 14 offensive players Defensive – you get 43 years for 18 defensive players The highest amount of years for 1 player is capped at 4 Let’s say you put 4 years on Aaron Rodgers. He counts 4 years against your cap every year. You can cut him any time without penalty. There is a lot of strategy in how you use the years. Offseason Tags – How to keep players You have 3 offseason tags – Franchise, RFA, Transition Franchise – This costs you a 1st and 4th round pick. You keep the player but you must give him a 4 year contract. It’s a heavy price to pay. RFA – Costs nothing to tag, but someone can steal him from you. If they do, they owe you their 2nd round pick in the upcoming draft Transition – Same as RFA, but they owe you a 3rd round pick Here are the top 64 scorers from last year in this league.
