88Comrade2000
No point in debating what could've been or should've been. We will make ourselves miserable. Hopefully we can finish 7-9 or 8-8. The 2001 season ended today with the loss. Time to think 2002. Thing is the 2002 season starts now. It's time to bench all the old guys and let's see what our young guys got. WE need to see who we want to keep for 2002. That means starting Sage at QB for the final 2 teams.
Guest The Angry Buddha
Well at least this year's mediocre finish tastes a lot better than last year's mediocre finish. We've got a TON of cap space available, few major free agents to re-sign, and several promising rookies that give us a solid core for next season. But in order to make it all work, Marty needs to start now-- and I mean TONIGHT-- to answer the two most important questions: 1. Which QB does he want to rest the franchise on? And if it isn't one on the roster right now, who can he get in here by February or March at the latest? 2. Does he want to stay with Jimmy Raye or find a new offensive guru and a new playbook? And if Raye is sent packing, who can he get in here by February or March? The excuse of not having players in the "system" long enough to get accustomed to it won't fly next season. The core of this team is talented enough to get to the playoffs and contend NOW. But some level of upheaval on the offense will have to take place first. ------------------ <IMG SRC="http://home.earthlink.net/~wahoofamily/flag.gif" border=0>

I don't think the QB question gets settle until the end of March. AS for Jimmy Raye, he has to go. Dan Synder must exert a little pressure; even if Marty quits. QB and OC are big weaknesses on this team.
