Are there any good blocking TE's out there we could pick up (I somehow doubt it)? I ask this because Spurrier has gone on record now as saying he is going to give Patrick the extra protection he needs. bulldog Posted October 14, 2003 Share Posted October 14, 2003 the truth is the Redskins have had the worst set of TEs in the NFL the past 2 seasons. they didn't catch the ball and they couldn't block. Chamberlain is a good pass catcher. If he stays healthy and the team can find a capable blocking TE to pair with him, then the Redskins may finally have something at a position which has been ignored for too long.
