thehogs
we all use them across the globe and the man that is regarded as its inventor has just passed away in a care home in Inverness, Scotland. Interesting fact (to me anyway!), back in the 60's there was no electronic card and pin like today so how did it work? the customer slipped in to the slot in the cash machine a cheque impregnated with radioactive carbon 14! a sensor then detected the amount of money written on the cheque and there was your money! amazing! Inventor of cash machine No jokes about Scots inventing money machines please!
