Coaches, Players, Schemes, and the FO

The hot new topic on this board seems to be that the coaches don't use our players correctly. To me, this is a fallacy. In well-run organizations, the coaches tell the front office what type of players they need and the FO goes out and gets them. Here (in the past anyways), our FO goes out and grabs a hodgepodge of players without any regard to how their abilities fit into what our coaches like to do.

Case in point... a recently posted thread saying Jason Taylor was a good acquisition and that his lack of production was either due to injury or Blache's misuse of his skills. He was brought in to replace Phillip Daniels... a COMPLETELY different type of player. To our FO, they were both just defensive ends though. Same with Orakpo... Either put two undersized, pass-rushing defensive ends out on the field at the same time, move one of them to a new position, or switch to a 3-4 defense.

Id like to think of the Redskins as "Frankenstein" but a crappy version.

It has all these crazy parts that dont fit together.

You take a meddling owner, a GM that really doesn't seem to have it together, A first time Head Coach that was a QB coach, A west coast offense with a QB really not fit for that scheme, a 100 million dollar player, A guy that could of been on the biggest loser playing OL, A SS playing FS, A DE playing LB, A corner that gets picks but cant tackle, A corner that can tackle but cant get picks, A group of players that celebrate after doing something mediocore, A scientologist celebrity lurking in the owners box, A "captain" that says the media is responsible, A back up QB that is more popular than the real one and finally fans that support the team but dont really want to support the team.

This is a disaster and I hope Bruce Allen has a vision that makes sense and he can execute it.
