Titaw
Since football season is fast approaching I decided to start a thread dedicated to the 2nd most important element to a successful tailgate, THE FOOD (most important is people). Over the season I hope to add some recipes that will give you some rave reviews at your next tailgate/viewing party. Some are ideal for tailgate settings and others are ideal for vieweing parties at home. I shall start out with a recipe that I tried for the first time tonight and it was one of the most delicious materpieces I have ever concocted. I bring you..... Titaw's Big Effin' Mess 1lb Smoked Sausage, sliced 3 Jalapeno Peppers, sliced 1 Green Bell Pepper, cut into bite size chunks 1 Sweet Onion, cut into bite size chunks 1 Large Potato, cut into bite size chunks 1/4 cup hot sauce (Tobasco, Texas Pete, etc) 1 - 10oz Jar of Sweet and Sour sauce Put Sausage, Jalapenos, Green Pepper, Onion, Potato (the mess) into a foil bag. Mix Hot Sauce and Sweet and Sour Sauce in a bowl and pour over the mess. Seal up the foil bag (you must have a good seal or you will lose the sauces). Grill for 45 minutes flipping every 15 minutes. Slit open foil and serve. Bowls and forks needed! Enjoy!!!
