CHERRYR
Imagine being part of one of College Football's most storied backfield tandums (two Heisman Winners), then being drafted #3 overall by the Steelers only to turn it down to become a fighter pilot and serve your Country in Korea and Viet Nam. That was Doc Blanchard, "Mr. Inside" who passed away yesterday at the age of 84. :logo:
Baculus
Here is a Wikipedia picture of that team: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1941_Doc_Blanchard_on_Gulf_Coast_Championship_St_Stanislaus_football_team.png Man, times sure have changed, and they really are a tough-looking bunch. This article made me think of the Raiders using their first round pick on a kicker, but a womanizing drunkard such as Janikowski really can't be compared to Mr. Blanchard. RIP, "Doc."
