RAVENS GO ONE UNDER PAR

Posted by Tom Mantzouranis on August 30, 2008, 4:27 p.m.

A group of cuts, two players sent to the IR, and two suspensions have put the Ravens one under the 53-man roster maximum in advance of their first regular season game.

Corners Fabian Washington and Derrick Martin are both suspended for the first game, and won’t count against the team’s roster. Washington was suspended earlier this month for violation of the Personal Conduct Policy after being arrested in February for domestic battery, and the team has announced Barrett has been suspended for violating the Substance Abuse Policy.

Tailback Cory Ross and corner David Pittman both landed on the injured reserve list.

TE Adam Bergen, QB Casey Bramlet, DL Darrell Campbell, WR Patrick Carter, G Adrian Clarke, DT Amon Gordon, WR Justin Harper, RB Alex Haynes, TE Keith Heinrich, G Adam Kraus, LB Robert McCune, RB Allen Patrick, CB Ronnie Prude, T Joe Reitz, T Chad Slaughter, LB Gary Stills, WR Ernie Wheelwright, DL Lorenzo Williams, and WR Matt Willis were waived.

GM Ozzie Newsome announced the team will add another player before their season opener.
