As a kid, I always liked art, but it never spoke to me. As I got into the Hot Rod Kulture, I learned more and more. I've been to the La Luz de Jesus gallery in L.A. and it was a great experence.

When I was younger and G n' R came out with the art work of Robert Williams it blew me away, but I couldn't find it any where. Now thanks to the internets and a lot more small lowbrow gallerys opening, it is much more avalible. If there are any collectors around, this is IMO, the next big thing. 20 years ago, these guys couldn't find anybody to take their work seriously, now guys have paintings selling for $50k and up.

I always liked the works of Art Crumb and other comic book guys and now people like Coop and Kozig are getting more well known, by selling stickers and T-shirts.

If nothing else, I think it's interesting to see the influence some of the crazy old Rodders have had on things. Guys like Von Dutch and Ed "Big Daddy" Roth and a whole lot more.

This is truely the art of my generation and it's a fairly huge movement. Anybody who grew up on comic books and album covers, you might find it interesting to see where the art you loved came from and to know how it's grown.

Editted because nobody else seems interested in this, but I would still like to know.

Hot Rod Kulture/Deluxe is a good rag, so is Old Skool Rodz.
