codeorama
Does anyone know.... do most laptops have an "audio in" jack built in like desktop cpu's? or Does anyone know if there is a USB "audio in" connector? The reason I ask is because I'm interested in getting a lap top but I need the audio in jack for recording musical instruments and vocals. thanks
Golgo-13
There is usually a microphone jack. I have one on my Vaio, I'm assuming that will do the job for you.
Zen-like Todd
You want the iMic. http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/imic/ Works on PCs and Macs, and I've heard the quality is quite excellent, as it's isolated from the RF nastiness that is the inside of a computer case.
