carlsbadd
I missed some of the Iggles-bucs game. How did Sapp get his eye injured? I can not find any info anywhere. Thanks
@DCGoldPants
Yeah, some dude from the Eagles OL poked him in the eye. They said something about Sapp doing it to them in the game earlier in the season.
Stricknine
The Eagles' guard he was going up against (can't remember his name, #71) reached up and jammed his thumb in his eye.

Stricknine
No Mick, Ryp was right...it was Jermaine Mayberry...#71.
Mickalino
Here's clarification. It actually started last year with Wellbourn. Wellbourn was on the receieving end of the eye-poking from Sapp. And Mayberry allegedly gained retribution with a poke of his own at Sapp, this year. Stricknine
They did say that during the game...I was just referring to who actually poked Sapp in the eye...but I remeber Collinsworth, I think, saying that Sapp had allegedly done it to Wellbourn earlier. StuckinIA
The NFL should actually commission somebody to poke both of Sapp's eyes during games. Then fill his mouth with many tastefully arranged bunches of foul smelling marigolds. Shut Up Sapp! We would rather listen to Pat Buchanan ramble about Canadian Rights.
