If Gibbs was doing this crap, people would be all over him for not being able to coach, etc. etc. Reid is making a clusterfrak of the Eagles and I love it. Alabama Man Posted September 19, 2007 Share Posted September 19, 2007 Honestly I was surprised JR was cut after week one. Thus I'm happy he is back. It's surprising they made this move instead of trying to save face because of the cutting a week ago. He was cut because he muffed a punt, but in reality he had no business returning punts to begin with. JR made his name as a kick returner only, and he looked fine doing that in game one. If Runyan were to get hurt this week, they'd probably re-sign McCoy and cut someone else (Nick Graham?) to make room. So, I guess the valid criticism here would be the Eagles' embrace of three players (Mahe, Reed and McCoy) who they can cut without the slightest fear of losing to another team.
