Southtown
So I'm at the gym today wearing my "Extremeskins" shirt and the owner of the place starts up a Redskins conversation with me. He tells me that his good friend once played for the Redskins, Keith Griffin. He said he was a running back on the '87 Superbowl team. He also said he was a starter for part of the season but fumbled twice against the Jets and was benched for the rest of the year. The name doesn't ring a bell. I thought that in '87 George Rogers was our main back and Kelvin Bryant was our 3rd down back. Timmy Smith was on the roster too of course. I don't remember Keith Griffin, but then again I was only 10 years old at the time. Can anyone give me some more info on this guy?
fuji869
He was a backup RB the Redskins had in the mid-late 80s. He was behind George Rogers and Kelvin Bryant on the Detpt Chart. Played in some 3rd down passing situations. His brother was Archie Griffin the only 2-time Heisman Trophy Winner.
