Fifty Gut
Doc Walker just mentioned on 980's postgame show that Cooley is gonna have a much harder time getting open with his hand in the dirt, instead of in motion like last season there is no TE motion in this offense said he isn't Tony Gonzales and playing with his hand down as compared to in motion is gonna have a huge impact on his game thoughts? NAILBOMB9
I don't understand why the coaches would change ANYTHING about Cooleys game!!!!! He has kicked #ss ever since he's been drafted and now they go and change his position. Makes absolutely no sense to me what-so-ever!!!! If it's not broke, don't fix it. Grimm
Thats the bad thing about not showing anything in the preseason, we have to wait until now to find these things out.

jtyler42
It's a wait and see type of thing...I was worried about this when it was made known that Cooley was going to be switched to TE...Cooley is not very quick and doesnt have great speed but he is tough, strong and has good hands...Saunders is just going to have to scheme plays to get Cooley involved and Brunell is going to have to give him a chance to get open and stop bailing out on plays so much... Zamas
Cooley was used a lot more for pass protection today then he was in most situations last year. And when he did get off his blocks they had him locked up on the short dump off routes. Just something to work on. Our offense didn't click until the 8th quarter last year, we've already started showing promise this year. It will be alright.
