Grizz
I need to get a new home security system installed and was wondering if anyone had any recommendation on who had the better equiptment and service. I have both ADT and Brinks coming to give me an estimate.

Grizz
I've got those and then some, but I am looking for something when the dogs and I are out of the house.
SkinsNut73
I have ADT and I've had it for quite some time now. The previous owner of our home had it installed, so for me it was simply a case of activating it under my name. No installation was necessary. However, my dad recently had his home broken into, so he had a system installed. He had both ADT and Brinks out to the house. He went with Brinks because he got more coverage (sensors) for a better price than ADT was offering. I did like the options he had as well - he could turn on only certain zones if he desires...with me (ADT) it's all or nothing...of course that could be because my model is a few years old now. Maybe they've changed to and I just have not bothered to check into it... Our dog is our best security system anyway:) He lets me know when someone is there before the alarm ever would.... Kilmer17
My advice is to go with a local co-op company instead. Check with your local chamber of commerce for areferral. Much better and cheaper than one of the big national companies.
