diesel22 Posted January 11, 2006 Share Posted January 11, 2006 Maybe the most crucial thing for our offense on Saturday will be our ability to convert 3rd downs and keep the Seahawks offense off the field. In game #1 vs Seattle, our Offense was 15/20 on 3rd down conversions. If we do this again (with the way our Defense is playing right now) we will win this game easily. Jimbo Posted January 11, 2006 Share Posted January 11, 2006 Only the Colts faced less 3rd down plays on offense than the Seahawks. Seattle averaged a whopping 6 yards on 1st down. They also led the league in the number of 80+ yard drives for scores. Stopping the run and forcing them into unfamiliar 3rd and long plays will also be huge keys. Their 3rd down conversion rate was less than 40%. Keep their offense OFF the field and keep ours ON it.
