Yo
Did anybody hear about that stud out at the combine out of Virginia Tech who played left tackle this
year for the Hokies. Scouts say he ran a 8.1 40 and benched a whopping 95 pounds 3 times. Scouts compare him to the next Tony Boselli and sources say Sprurrier has him high on his draftboard. Insiders question his mental
reasoning and thought processes, as he is often noncomittal in his answers and seems to bull**** to the
quarterback when blowing pass protection. McClelland started all 23 games his first two seasons and then
was hampered with a knee njury during his junior year playing a pick up game of basketball. His footwork may have diminished somewhat, but McClelland, also called the "D-Train" because of his punishing drive blocking capabilities still make him a solid first rounder. Scouts have also question his temper as being short fused after being provoked by a much smaller individual about being involved with Siberian Terrorism accusations. McClelland is a leader on the field, safeguarding Michael Vick's blindside for two years. But his leadership does not stop on the field, it permeates to his community involvement. McClelland has anchored his Eagle Scout platoon in his hometown of Alexandria Virginia and coordinated projects for large and small groups. His gesticulations have been known to cause Coach Beamer much consternation in year's past, but Spurrier thinks he has what it takes to contain this beast. With Chris Samuels and Dave McClelland as tackles on our line, the line can now be called the "Hogs" like in the glory days of yester-year!!

Hey Phil. I noticed your all-time favorite Redskin is Joe Morris. I think you mean his little bro, Jamie Morris. It was Jamie who played for the Skins.

As for McClelland, why would we want a Tackle. That's our strength. Your deteriorating Giants could use him more than us. I'm sure he'd be an upgrade for you all

[ April 11, 2002, 06:30 PM: Message edited by: Mick ]
