scskin
For supposedly the "smartest man", you said a bunch of dumb stuff. The NFL made the schedule based on the Hawks record of last year because we went to the playoffs. It was supposed to be tougher, so, we got what we got. When we played you supposedly tough NFC East, we won 3 of 4, one of them 42 - 0 on MNF. except for a field goal miss at the end of regulation, and you would be doing mock up drafts for the coming year. Go ahead and stack the box trying to stop SA, we have ALL of our WR's Now. My guess is that after a few completions you will abandon that and SA will light you UP. 3-1 against the NFC East huh? Not bad, not bad at all
drone007
you may have all your WR's back, but we have all our secondary back. I'm not nervous.
BlueTalon
This was the tougher schedule you guys got for being in the playoffs last year? You've got to be kidding me! The combined winning record for the Seahawks opponents this year was far less than .500. The Redskins opponents had the best winning percentage of all 12 teams in the playoffs!Still that won't mean a thing if we don't play well but if I were the Seahawks I would not overlook the Redskins! See ya next week! Nobody on our end is overlooking the Redskins. Sorry, but we can't help what the broadcasters or bookies say.You can make all the comments about schedules that you want, but they make this year's schedule based on last year's records. We can't help it if some of those teams decide to take a dump. Heck, we weren't even picked to win our own division! A few of the sportspundits had us to take it, but most had the Cardinals or the Rams. The only thing we have control over is playing the teams on our schedule, preferably well enough to beat them. Hats off to the Redskins for beating the teams they did and making the playoffs. But don't make the mistake of thinking that because our schedule was what it was, that we are not a good team. GhostRider
Gibbs loves the underdog role this is a big plus. The offense will have to rebound of course, but I think they'll have a lot of motivation now.
GhostRider
I think the Seahawks have had an easier road than the Skins, but there a damn good team and came back strong in the second half against us in our first matchup.
jpeyster
3-1 against the NFC East huh? Not bad, not bad at allAlmost as good as 5-1!And btw for the Largent troll out there, the Seahawks played only 5 games against teams with winning records this year. One of them was against Indy when they werent trying. The Redskins have now played ELEVEN games against teams with a winning record, all against teams playing at full speed. So let's look at the two teams' resumes. Team A: 3-2 against teams with a winning record, including a loss to Team B. 10-1 vs. teams at or below .500. They played the 29th ranked schedule. Team B: 6-5 vs. teams with a winning record including a win over Team A. 5-1 against teams at or below .500. They played the 11th ranked schedule. In terms of common opponents + head to head, Team A is 9-1 and Team B is 9-1. Noting the significant difference in schedule strength and how that effects stats, Team A ranks 2nd in total offense and 16th in total defense. Team B ranks 11th in total offense and 7th in total defense. Look at all of this and it becomes somewhat interesting that Team B is given no shot to win by many, many people. cyfar
Once again the Seahawks are not playing against a NFC West team, they will not roll over us the way they did against the teams in that division.

But let me point out that most of those many, many people are not wearing Seahawk blue.
docsandy
Strength of schedule..... past game history.... Doesn't really mean a lot. They want revenge (just as we did against Tampa). We want validation. Our offense will not be the same offense that played Tampa. But it's the playoffs. Single round elimination. That's why they play the game. HTTR.
