Stone Cold Posted August 5, 2002 Share Posted August 5, 2002 i couldn't help but notice, especially with last year's early season performance still fresh in my memory, that this year's team has a chip on it's shoulder swagger (call it quiet confidence if you will). i know it was only the 1st preseason game and these usually don't carry that much weight into the regular season, but it sure makes for a breath of fresh air. the team has already taken on the personality of its head coach(s)-w/marvin lewis. for the first time since, dare i say, perhaps the gibbs era, our guys look like they have a clue/plan and execute. from our owner all the way down to our towel boys, this franchise has something to prove. we have been the butt of jokes for too long. it's as if s-double has come in and in the words of wyatt erp in tombstone has said "i'm wyatt erp, it all ends now!"
