TheSteve
Pardon my ignorance, especially since I consider myself to be somewhat of a computer expert; But is it possible to run one of the older P4 Socket 423 Models with the RDRAM Modules without using the CRIMM Modules to fill the two solitary empty slots? I bought some old ram, mb and cpu cheap and really don't feel like buying CRIMM Modules(Which everything I've read has said you need them to fill in the empty rambus slots). So is this absolutely necessary or just reccomended for computer stability? Thanks.
dreamingwolf
with RD last I heard it was absolutely needed. Im not an expert on it, but my last mother board was fitted with RD, and I had to use the crimm in the emptys.
MonkeySkin
Just stick some cardboard in there... It worked for me.
TheSteve
^ Cardboard? I thought I read something warning people not to do that. Instead of buying CRIMM's I'm just going to find some more cheap Rambus Memory on Ebay.
