cscmtp Posted August 14, 2005 Share Posted August 14, 2005 Okay, the Panthers looked to be a much better team. Delhomme is a great QB, and moved the ball with ease. Steve Smith is back, and will probably be playing in Hawaii this year. The Skins o-line looked good, as did the running game. Portis only had one carry if i recall, so the majority of the carries went to Betts, then Cartwright, then our rookie from Citadel. All 3 looked solid, and caught several balls for first downs. The first team passing game looked pretty weak IMO. Ramsey did make some good throws, but he seemed nervous to me. Showed those happy feet. Brunell then came in towards the end of the 2nd quarter, and actually the team moved the ball well. Keep in mind most of the Panthers starters were out though. Marc did have a lot more zip on his balls than last year. Finally Campbell got in the game in the 4th (or maybe late 3rd? can't recall) and IMO, looked VERY good. He showed more poise than Ramsey or Brunell IMO. He's a big kid, has a strong arm, and is mobile too. Made several nice tight throws. Overall, the dirtbags played the best IMO.
