jbooma
We are getting a new fridge in a week or soon and it comes with a factory installed ice maker. My question is can I create the water line for it now, or do I need to wait for the fridge? My current fridge does not have an icemaker is not on the same side as the sink, so curious how the connection would work. The microwave is being installed tomorrow (overhead one) and that company could do the water line for the new fridge. Any help would be appreciated. SkinsNut73
Yes, you can install it now. The kits come with a piercing valve...all you have to do is attach it to your cold water line and run the tubing to the "future" fridge location. You leave the valve closed (obviously) until the fridge arrives. Then finish the installation and turn the water on...
