I saw this thread again and thought wow this thread is stupid. The Dolphins beat themselves yesterday and the skins should've lost.
We'll be lucky to win another game this year.

Terry made history today. I’m not always spot on when it comes to identifying top players before it’s obvious. But I knew this kid had “it.”
So did I and my 20 rookie autographed cards of him. 😉

I'm just saying in hypothetical theory, he'd be a beast on the Patriots. Not literally right now with their current roster.
I think he'd be a beast anywhere, but yeah I agree the Skins are where you come to die.
That and get paid.

Pretty much. He's gonna waste all his good years here. If he was on a team like the Patriots, with his work ethic, attitude and ability he'd put up hall of fame numbers.
Not true the Pat's have to many weapons as is. He might not even have gotten a shot with the Pat's this year.

The guy is a blast to watch. He's so talented and just looks like a natural
All that for a rookie is amazing. A rookie that went in the 3rd Rd. He's what Skins fans hoped we would get from Doctson.

Only thing I like about this team right now is this man Terry.

Honest question, are cards like these worth money? I know the rookie cards of players from waaay back when are, but nowadays?
Yes and his value went up, because of Sunday. Go to ebay all you'll see the market for cards is still crazy.

Not even sure what happened to Doctson, he was not active Week 1.
But I will say the team cut Robert Davis, Cam Sims, and Josh Doctson. Doctson got picked up, Sims and Davis did not. So, as a whole, the league values Doctson more than those two
Okay what does that have to do with Doctson taking up a roster spot on this team. In other words the Skins got it wrong by drafting him, but got it right by releasing him.

Where are all those people that were upset about the Skins releasing Doctson?

Didn't he get a pick 6 in game 1?
True, but is that really going to be a argument between Sweat and Kerrigan? LOL just looked at his stats. 3 INTs and 3 TDs Kerrigan should play CB.
I guess the point is I'm not going to give up on a guy after one damn game.
Give me a Fing break.

Keep being patient with guys and you end up being a fan of a loser franchise.
He was slow off the jump, put little or no pressure on the QB (I’m not expecting any sacks right now). It is the one thing we drafted him for. He just looked slow.
We need more guys like McLaurin. Guys that play fast and make immediate impact. Guys that look like they belong. We don’t need guys who take time to develop (excuses).
If you are a rush specialist, it should show immediately. Sacks can come later, but he shouldn’t need “time” to look fast or get a quick jump off.
Ryan Kerrigan didn't get a sack his 1st game. I guess we should have got rid of him, right? Or shouldn't have drafted him either, right? 🤫 Also Kerrigan wasn't a speed guy and still doesn't have the speed Sweat has. 🤫

We don’t need any more rookies that take years to develop (which inevitably they don’t). Put up or shut up. Game #1, he looks like a wasted pick.
This is a wasted post.

Beat me to it.

Terry Mclaurin did in one game what Docston couldn't do in 3 years. That is why the Skins released Doctson for all the people wondering why he was released.
3 minutes ago, Koolblue13 said:Who knows. Theres not a single legit starter so maybe someone shows up this year, but as of now our best wr is a no 3 that took 6 years for a decent series of a stat.
The WRs looked good today. It was the run game and offensive line that didn't look good.

Terry you kicked ass your first game. I knew you might be something special.
Terry I've bought a ton of your autographed rookie cards. You keep this stuff up. You might make me some good money. 😉

If this guy gets hurt or is a bust it's probably my fault. I've got way to many sporting card autos of his in hopes he becomes good.

This year will be the ultimate proof - does a team need vets at WR.
The guys with the most experience are the most injury prone
I bet NE has rolled with less experience at wideout but not many teams can have less that we do, right? This may be some sort of record.
NE has Tom Brady, big difference. With that being said I'm happy with our WRs right now.

He was a disappointment, but I dunno about a bust. As others have said, a bust needs to have been a complete failure in terms of production and I don’t know if that’s Doc. The guy drafted after him had a whole 1 TD in his entire tenure in minny. You look at half the people in that first round - Eli Apple, Corey Coleman, Darron Lee, Paxton Lynch etc and we came out not too bad from that debacle.
You call it what you want. He's a bust to me. He didn't help us win any games and he was a wasted pick. I'm done talking about this, it's a thread about Redskins WRs and he isn't one. One last thing I don't know how some fans would be happy with the poor career Doctson had with where we drafted him. It baffles me

It didnt.
It did with the Skins. So he's a bust for the Skins. I don't understand how some of you don't get this. We spent a 1st rd pick on a guy that is gone. Bust

If Jonathan Allen’s career ended today, he’s a bust.
but neither guy’s career is over so it’s moot.
He's a bust for the Skins either way. He didn't work out and was cut. He was a 1st rd pick and we'll see if he does anything else in his career. At the end of the day it was a bad pick for the Skins.

Sounds like that would just make them more rare.
Like Taylor's rookie #36
Not sure it would work like that. Maybe

I wonder if he will switch to his college #83 now that Brian Quick is cut 🤔
Hope not
I've already got multiple autographed trading cards of him with number 17.

IMO Doctson wasn't a bust by how I think of the word. To me a bust is a highly drafted guy who didn't do much of anything. Think Kevin White or Charles Rogers. Doctson produced, but didn't live up to what we hoped he'd be. Doctson had over 1,000 yards and 8 TDs in his first two seasons playing (his rookie season basically being entirely on IR). Those numbers aren't that bad. So while he certainly didn't live up to what we hoped, I don't think he's a "bust".
If his career ended today with those stats. He's a bust

This is why his numbers will get worse. Teams will just shut him down soon, because he is the Skins only threat.
